I feel like a “no-spend month” for non-influencers is just a regular month
@gw2210

I did a no spend month for two years following the Dave Ramsey program. It took a lot of sacrifice including a “friend” asking me why I always bought the cheapest thing on the menu. It’s been a years since I sacrifice those 2yrs and to this day I have zero debt, car paid off and owe a home. It’s possible not to live paycheck to paycheck there will just be more sacrifice.

A Latina accomplishing major milestones and so young; I was very proud but, I envied you. This is very refreshing to see because I used to think, “ she’ll never understand what it means to have to live paycheck to paycheck.” You have been so vulnerable and open with us about everything, down to your finances, Thank you. Hi Jazmine! Thank you so much for the transparency. I turned 30 this year and let me tell you.. I felt so behind. I've been working as a RN for 7 years now and no I don't make six figures but I feel like I should definitely have more to my name than a dog, a car and an apartment. Seeing my friends who are younger buying houses, cars and investing so much already really was tough. I constantly beat myself up about all the material things I purchased in the past. Recently I began doing more low/no spend challenges which has helped so much. Which was probably why I was recommended your channel. I'm definitely following! Please put out more content like this.

Don't feel bad for spending on DJI mic because the audio is amazing and that money will come back tenfold. When you posted the first video I was already trying to better my finances, and I agree with being very self aware and control yourself, it is not easy saying no to things because we are so overstimulated from social media that we feel like we need everything. For the pet insurance we used to have the same 100% coverage which was so expensive and when it came down to it they always fought covering the bills. We ended up putting money aside every month for our dog incase future emergencies instead of pet insurance and saved a ton, and had that incase overall emergencies as well. We were spending more on pet insurance over x amount of years than any surgery or procedures ever costed. But if you can easily afford pet insurance and it gives you piece of mind just keep it the same ❤ Would love to see overall more budgeting and financing episodes.

Just wondering what do your dogs eat? I used to have problems with my dogs getting sick from the food and treats they would eat. Skin allergies, bloody diarrhea, or just diarrhea, puke, and he would be sad bc he was sick. Even the brands that were "healthy". I ended up switching my dogs food to Hills Scientific Diet Sensitive Stomach. It is pricey but it works well. Then I thought okay we are good now. At the same time I had stopped all treats. Bc the doctor said. Then when their stomach got back to normal. I said okay I can give them treats now. At first I didn't notice it was making their stool soft again. But 2-4 days of giving a treat (even just 1 treat) they would get diarrhea again. So much I had to restart the medication that the doctor prescribed and flora that you can buy at Petsmart. Now I'm very careful of what kind of treats and how often I give them specially if it might cause them diarrhea bc we wont know exactly which kind. There is only 1 brand they never get diarrhea from so it's the only one I trust to buy from Authority treats. Just wanted to share since I noticed you had so many doctor visits. I had to make these changes bc I kept probably spent hundreds of dollars trying to figure out how to help my dogs everytime I would take him to the doctor. Hills scientific is pricey and Authority snacks too. But it will save you in the doctor visits. Also, buy Purina Proplan Flora. Very helpful for if you dog gets an upset stomach from eating something that he wasn't supposed to.

YES that’s the plan! The moment I get a big check in, I’m paying the bill that is charging interest! Thankfully the other ones are 0% for a few more months but they will allll get paid off asap

no thats okay! I think after commissions and everything I made around ~$50k profit. but I spent $30k on a kitchen renovation so not really a huge profit after 3 years. I should have held onto it longer.

I feel the same Jas. Financial literacy is SOO important for everyone to understand. I’m in the finances industry and have learned sooo much! That I wish I knew all this at 18. But better now than never. I know of great investment strategies & money growth cash value that everyone should have. Everyone reach out to me so you can learn more ❤

Could you create a separate “dog emergency” account and put money that you would have put towards the pet insurance in that account? That insurance seems outrageously expensive.

I definitely could but I’m so terrified something will happen in the next year and then I’m screwed because nothing would be in there that would really make an impact for like a year 😭

Caleb Hammer has a YT channel where he invites people to talk about money and their spending. It’s good, I recommend!
