Being nice only because you expect something is the problem. I’ve even been frustrated, hoping things would eventually become more reciprocal. They won’t. You might hope they’ll notice how much you’ve done for them. They won’t. I’ve really had a semi mantra to myself “no more Mr nice guy” because when you’re only nice you get frustrated and it boils over, and that’s not nice at all

being nice for the sake of being nice or whatever should be a goal to strive towards , but having hidden motives ruins any good deed , do a good/nice thing and move on do not expect anything , there is nothing wrong with accepting some sort of rewarrd or whatever but once again do not expect or demand it , if people exploit you its on them , keep your soul clean so to say

Your video helped me examine myself. From late Elementary School to near the end of High School, I considered myself a “nice guy” in the sense that I would try to help a woman near my age group, partially because I want to be kind and partially because I am attracted to them. But I also want to wait until I got married before getting too intimate with a woman. I’ve been examining myself about my motives and desire, and I guess the key takeaway is being genuinely kind and honesty is a good policy. Thank you.

I think the craziest thing about relationships, or jobs, and whatever else socially is: a big part of who gets what comes down to showing up and putting in basic effort. you don't have to be the smartest, best looking, most charming or clever, or funny, none of that stuff. Most of the time it's just showing up and holding a conversation.

Question. How do you deal with a nice guy as a woman? There is this one guy that likes me and follows me everywhere ( when he and I are in the general vicinity of each other). He tries to give me stuff, he compliments me and whenever I hug someone in front of him he goes in for a hug. I really, really don't like him and usually just join a new group of friends that is all women when he's around ( he usually leaves me alone then). I'm never with him alone. I avoid physical contact at all times and talking to him. None of this has done legitimately anything to dissuade him unfortunately). I need advice.
@OdaSwifteye
Жыл бұрын
Here's what you need to do. You have to shut this person down, if you believe they aren't dangerous and are just really annoying, you have to break it to them. Embrace the dark side and break their hearts. Sure, you might make a mini Andrew Tate, but he's out of your hair, which is more important. If you think this person is dangerous then you need to still break them but with more prep, get your female friends or a male who has your actual best interests in heart to show up with you and intimidate them (they should have size, height, or muscle mass on the person but barring that them wielding a weapon also works). You also need to inform an authority figure that you are being bothered by a problem individual, so they can be on alert or possibly remove them entirely. If this person takes the break really badly, you should consider having a knife or pepper spray on you. I would advise a knife because it's really easy to pull that out and bloody the nose. Cowards prey on opportunity, and there's no opportunity if they know you have a knife and will use it to harm them.
@EsmeraldaArmstrong

“Nice guys” are essentially feminine men. They tend to socialize similarly to women, feigning excessive niceness even in situations where they may not genuinely like someone. They excel in group dynamics by being supportive but struggle with individual interactions, often perceiving others as competitors for positive attention. Similar to women, they may take jokes as personal affronts and may seek to censor discussions, especially in online settings.

Realizing now that I became like this for one specific girl I was really into. It's weird. I don't have that issue with other women, and I haven't struggled much, but I got too excited about one girl too soon and just carried that on and pushed her away. Nobody told me that though. In my mind I was just trying to cheer her up all the time, sending her sweet messages, giving her little gifts, etc. She was depressed and I wanted to help. But I didn't understand how I came across. Needy, desperate, overly attentive, attached....it was a lot of talking and a few dates and then hanging out a little as friends after that but I was stuck in a cycle. Not valuing myself. This video is quite poor. First, you use the terms "White Knight" and "Nice Guy" interchangeably, though they are quite different. A Nice Guy becomes bitter and resentful after being rejected; a White Knight maintains his belief that women can do no wrong. This leads into my second point. You repeatedly state that White Knights only do what they do to get lаid. However, you also insinuate that they legitimately believe what they're espousing. So which is it: do they praise women just for sеx, or do they legitimately believe that women can do no wrong? There's a few more issues, but these were the most noticeable.

Great breakdown but a key something you’re missing is that these “nice guys” are often confused because they listen to what women say they want. The behavior women tend to say they want in men is not actually the behavior that creates initial attraction or keeps them sexually interested. And the less experience a man has with women the more a man might twist the words of women, because they just don’t know any better. Words mean very little with women.

I definitely agree with you that having female friends can be beneficial, but at the same time I think things get iffy when one of your female friends become interested in you, and I feel like that tends to happen most of the time. At some point they either like you or you like them. On the surface level they’re definitely good to have around and give you different perspective, and like you said, great for picking up other girls, but in the long run I find that these relationships tend to fizzle out for most people, especially when one or both people find themselves in a relationship with another person. Just my take, curious to hear your thoughts.

Be a nice guy by literal definition don't be a "nice guy"

What women don't tell guys but guys already know is that we do the same thing too, Laugh at guys corny jokes just cause they're attractive, but when it comes to someone you like, and your intentions are just to make them smile, go for it, compliment them, they'll tell when it's genuinely out of kindness

It cost nothing to be nice. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all, simple.

I know this type of people and everything you said was spot on. Especially the "justicing through life". I have a relative who is a "nice guy" (and I know what he's up to on his free time) always thinks he is only permitted to talk about his job or his car, but ONLY on a surface level. Like dude no one's forcing you to stress this much about what is acceptable to talk about. Idk just happened to remember. And why is their only goal in life to end up in a relationship??? And always with a woman??? This necessarily doesn't happen with gay people. But then again, it would be rebellious against society or something to be gay so again with the social justicing part. Why would a woman want to step into the life of a guy who has nothing interesting enough going on in his life to concentrate on that instead of seeking validation from outside? And there are some factors that have to do with finding a partner which you can't influence, like pheromones that fit one another etc.

Guys... Don't pretend to be nice. But also don't pretend to be mean to seem cool. That's just as bad. Might even be worse. Be kind.

If you have to tell people you are good person you aren’t I never thought of myself as a good person but brother in law told me I was one most genuine person he knows tied with his oldest sister
