As a Hong Kong person,I dislike Hong Kong people the most in terms of Hong Kong itself. Not just the aspects you had mentioned. Many reasons within my opinion as well.

Interesting! Of course, we all have our own likes and dislikes and there's no perfect place but it was a unique experience living in HK.

@@KalinCh Interesting that you used the word "Interesting".Such a versatile vocabulary for responding virtually everything.
Just moved from HK to Singapore after living in HK for around 3 years and agree with everything you said. HK locals are barely literate in English, so I would have to switch to Canto almost all the time when talking to a local (luckily, I'm also fluent in Canto). I always felt bad for my friends who cannot speak Canto as it makes living in HK extremely inconvenient. Singlish is pretty much English, so no communication issues at all for English speakers.

Fluent in Canto helps a lot, especially from the "hurry hurry" culture. We get nervous and intimidated because it sounds like they're shouting harsh words at us even when they're not lol

@@KalinCh lmao it's so true that Canto is one of the harshest sounding and loudest languages when spoken naturally, but imo that's what gives it its charm too. When my dad is talking on the phone, my friends would ask if he's arguing with someone or why is he shouting. I tell them he's just chatting with family and that's the normal tone of his voice lol. But i an see how it would be intimidating to non Canto speakers.

I am far from being fluent in Cantonese. But there seem to be few problems with living in HK.
I like HK pretty much! Good transportation system, low income tax, no GST tax, good medical system to oversea students and workers, high working efficiency …Actually I met many friendly and helpful local people there. Fabulous!😘
