I love your suggestions. Here's one for you. I practice gratitude for each salad ingredient as I prepare, imagining them growing and all the miracles, people, efforts, innovations, weather, and so forth that brought them to my table. Each bite is a blessing and miracle. I feel so fortunate to have been born at a time and place of abundance. God is smiling upon me.

My dear Kristina, I posted something on social media today that is pretty much most of what you said here! I am in total accordance. We are detached, sucked into a funnel of disillusionment, competitive and ignorant because of what society is spewing out in order to pull people in. I believe our soul contains the blueprint of our lives; why we are here and what our mission is here on earth. Unfortunately, our blueprints have been pushed so far down inside ourselves, covered with layer upon layer of anything and everything that has happened to us mentally, spiritually and physically. Our true authentic selves can very well be the complete opposite of who we have become. At 62 years young, I am "putting in the work" more now than I ever have. I am slowly yet surely discovering what has kept me stuck for decades. I am conscious of what is good for me and what is not. There is no age for self-development. The only time it's too late is when it's our turn to leave this planet and continue our journey elsewhere. The soul lives on. If we want to help others around us to "see the light", we need to look inward and see what is going on. The world is not in a good place. Heart centered people are essential for our planet to continue existing for many many many more years. I would love to see videos of how you create safe spaces for yourself. This is another thing I am learning now for myself and my life. However Kristina, in all honesty, I love all your videos. Everything you post is a gift to us every Saturday. Thank you for being YOU Kristina. You are DEFINITELY fulfilling your mission here on earth!! ✨🌻😞🌿👌🙌❤️❤️

Very true. Disconnect from the news much more often because all it is, is the worst of humanity. It’s never good stuff. So why am I watching it? A week without IG and the news gave me considerable amounts of joy. Watching all of the other stuff was making me angry and discontent.

Oh My G'Ness Kristina! I have been on this exact path for the last year now! You hit every nail on the head! I became very aware, very in-tune with myself. Realizing how what I read, who I followed, what I listened to, etc, etc, etc ..... just how it affected me. When I read something, or looked at something, how did it make me feel? Really stop and realize this stuff! I have altered who I follow on every single platform. I have unfollowed, unfriended SO many people this last year. TV? NONE!!!! I hope this will really touch SOOOO many people out there. Just because we KNOW someone, doesn't mean we have to follow them, if they aren't bringing us positivity! Hugs from Northern Minnesota!!! 💜

I believe this year is a transformative year for many people. Earlier in the year, I found myself scrolling through social media and becoming anxious. It felt like it was never ending! I'd look up and an hr and a half had passed by because I scroll until I see the "caught up" check. Now matter how many times I got on a day... it would take me an hour and it made me feel sick. I checked my follow numbers; I was following over 1,400 pages!!! That exact moment, I sat down and went through ever single page, evaluated their purpose and how they made me feel... and deleted over 600 pages and still counting. I also become for conscious of who I add and what vibes I want my feed to have. I stopped watching TV and only watch KZitem now (after a following purge too). Its amazing how you don't realize how impacted you are by media until you're overwhelmed or burned out. Even my cousin gave up social media because she felt like her scrolling was negativity impacting her parenting habits. Media has become so negative that people are starting to feel it more because its no longer fun entertainment. After these changes I am feeling so much better. I now only scroll in the morning and evening (not throughout the day). Also, I only watching KZitem that makes me feel good and isn't dramatic.

Thank you for this reminder. This idea that the ideas, media etc you consume are like food is actually something I heard first in a talk by an old yogi who has passed away more than 20 years ago. Your video is a timely reminder for me and I'm grateful. Silent meals are also a spiritual practice and I love the idea of eating outside instead of in front of a screen, and I'm going to give it a try. You seem incredibly peaceful, calm and content - you radiate all kinds of positive qualities, and I feel very certain that listening to you is not a time waster :) Thank you.

We got rid of our TV 40 years ago. But for a very long time, I saturated my consciousness with pressing social issues that I thought I had to be aware of and do something to correct - even if they were only tangential to my personal experiences. One of the hardest lessons for me in life was realizing and accepting that we, and we alone, are wholly responsible for our experiences and what happens to us. No one is suffering unfairly. No one is an innocent victim. No one is miserable because of their gov't or some cabal. Our own consciousness is generating our experience and our consciousness is a function of our moral level. I try to get that message around and, understandably, it's not very popular. People prefer to blame some unknown, unnamed "them" for their problems. It sounds hard-hearted to people to tell them that there are no innocent victims. Everyone loves to hear: It's not your fault! Compassion is letting people know they are fully in charge of their lives and what happens to them is what they have chosen to tune into out of the infinity of experiences that are available to them. Compassion is realizing that people make bad choices when we are at a low level of morality. But it's not healthy to feed into that, but tell people why things happen as they do and it is up to us to do the work to rise morally and, in so doing, generate better experiences. What people choose to do with that information is their business. My responsibility ends with telling people that truth.

Great video and a very important topic! I also haven't really watched TV in years and I've stopped reading the news. The news are full of negativity. Back then when I consumed a lot of news I always used to be super depressed and anxious. War, murder, politics. It was just too much. Not reading the news was the best decision ever and I've become so much happier. Sometimes I read positive news and that's enough. Thank you for your great videos Kristina. I have been suffering from longhaul covid for 2 1/2 years. I ended up going back to eating meat...it worked for a little while...my body has required dou le the protein and double the liquids....but steadily gaining weight and becoming an angry person....I love animals and I hate eating meat. I am reworking my diet to be accommodative to low histamines, gluten free, high antioxidant, anticandida, antiparasitic, and chelating heavy metals, no nightshades, low sugar fruits...I am very limited with what I have come up with today. I am not sure how to get 100 grams of protein daily o a raw vegan diet and also nervous about how to have small meals when I can hardly digest a thing even with probiotics everyday. I get super scared when I eat the wrong thing and wake up in such excruciating pain I feel like my spine has been cut in half. Please please please help! I need to be unbrainwashed from the junkfood diet. I list cognitive functions and tons of memory wiped...I used to be a poster girl for raw veganism and a lot has happened to throw me off. Here I am, lost and injured, and I am not the only one. Please, whatever you can do to help people like me who need your guidance and are extremely limited on what we can eat, please help. You are an expert. My faith is with God but it is also with you! BLESSED BE!

Hi Kristina, This is a wonderful episode! It helped to remind and encourage me to reward myself with the healthy things that I love to eat and do. All of these things lead me to experience quiet spaces of solace which for me equals being unplugged from technology and living. When you mentioned the part about us paying attention to what movies, music, or other things we allow into our consciousness, it reminded me of how my co-worker laughed at me the other day when she found out that I don't own a television. I also was reminded of the KJV scripture of the book of Proverbs, chapter 4, verse 23 which says, Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Awesome video with very important reminders! I will always love music (especially my 90s r&b and I do enjoy newer artists like Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, etc). And for the most part, music ALWAYS makes me feel good and uplifts my mood, but there are songs and artists that I definitely avoid because their lyrics dont resonate with me anymore. I have also let go of true crime tv shows and documentaries, they used to put me in a really dark place and I didn’t even realize it. The world wants to keep us operating at such a low frequency but I’ve chosen to stay in a positive space at all times. Thanks Kristina. ❤
