What is better in States then? I've never been there, but let me create my list after viewing so many films and reading the books. 1. Average house/apartment is bigger and cheaper to buy (maybe not in California though) 2. Typical car is bigger 3. Less biurocracy - most of the things you can do online or over the phone, like here in the UK 3. Variety of climate - you can go in the winter from snow in Rhode Island to the sunny Texas. 4. People are nicer, but often I find it shallow and fake. Even after having lived in the UK for the past 15 years. My main downside of living in the USA is the cost of the health service. Also, artificial food and this horrible for the most part and tasteless, spongy and lacking texture white bread.

Probably Poland is good for retirement. I spent in total 8 years in Poland, for now I live in Carlsbad, California. The day I left Poland was one of the best in my life. Sure, CA has higher crime level, but in Warsaw, "European" capital, in city center someone stole lamp from Uber-Food courier which costs only $1.25.. The theft is common thing there. Of course, they also steal from cars when you leave smth that attracts attention. So basically crime is the same in SF, LA - most dangerous cities of California. The Poles are very hypocritic people, they hate their neighbor countries - Germany, Russia, Ukraine.. Germany invested billions in this ungrateful county and Poles still hate it. I don't get it. Sure someone says the Americans are fake, probably, but I prefer American society to hypocrite, morally humiliated and arrogant poles

Then in 2004, I moved back to So Cal to caregive for my elderly and legally blind dad until he passed away.💔 Afterwards, in 2013, I moved to Poland. This video is truly inspiring! "Why I left California for Warsaw, Poland" by Dominik Andrzejczuk, a Polish-American tech enthusiast advocating for the growth of the tech ecosystem in Poland, sheds light on his remarkable journey and the opportunities that Poland offers. One aspect that particularly struck me was Dominik's mention of the inspiring role that Polish forests play in fostering innovation. Nature has always been a wellspring of creativity, and Poland's beautiful landscapes, like its forests, provide an ideal backdrop for those seeking to nurture their innovative spirit. Furthermore, Dominik's mention of the translated version of Halliday Resnick Walker's fundamentals of physics is noteworthy. Access to high-quality educational resources, such as this fundamental physics textbook, is instrumental in empowering students and aspiring innovators. It showcases Poland's commitment to providing quality education to its citizens and nurturing the next generation of scientists and engineers. Dominik's decision to move from California to Warsaw speaks volumes about the growth and opportunities available in Poland's tech sector. It's clear that Poland is emerging as a global tech hub, and his journey is a testament to the country's potential. I'm excited to see how Poland's tech ecosystem continues to evolve and how individuals like Dominik are making significant contributions to this growth. This video is an excellent testament to the potential and opportunities that Poland has to offer.

Even though I'm Polish, English comment might be a good addition to your vid. Living in America right now, I can tell right away that Poland is much more advanced in term of technology, infrastructure, building technology compared to United States. US was definitely the best in technology in 80's but since then other countries started to take away that status from them. We, Poles, are capable to do much more today than we were able to do back then and I can honestly say, we are able to do much more than Americans can do right now. As you said though, we're still developing since Iron Curtain stopped us from doing so earlier. Personally, I would definitely move back to our country but since I work not in the tech industry, I can't really do that, at least for now. It is basically the same thing for many Poles at the moment, they wouldn't be able to live on the same level in Poland as they live in US. You don't see maids and construction workers driving in new Lexuses or any known German luxury cars there, living in mansions that in Poland cost fortune and go on vacation twice a year. That is the thing in US. Even though most of this stuff is financed through bank, they can afford payments on these things when in Poland most of the citizens barely make ends meet. California on the other hand, it's really expensive state to live in. Housing is so expensive that many people live in RV's or vans parked on the side of the road, especially in San Franscisco area. Of course there are other parts of the US where living is much more affordable, like in Chicago area where I live, though it's getting more expensive to live here too every single day. Still, it's easier to accomplish your goals here than in California. Infrastructure in US is also falling apart as compared to Poland. It's no longer as beautiful as it was shown in old American movies. It basically stopped developing since then pretty much. 90's were still somewhat okay but today it's pretty much shadow of what was it back then. Yeah, you still live pretty comfortably but it's nothing compared to European countries. Roads are falling apart, buildings are in decay and need a lot of rebuilding to be back at its full glory, bridges can collapse at any moment like it happend on interstate 22 in Memphis, TN where bridge just snapped. Technologically it's also behind Poland for sure. To summarize it all up, if you work in tech industry, don't be afraid to try living there and work there. If you're in working class, as I am myself, you might want to reconsider moving there at the moment. I just hope that one day I'll be able to move back to our beautiful country and live among our people instead of feeling eyes of Americans on me because I don't belong there by their way of thinking.

This is sad bro... where do you live in this "wonderful" US of A? I'm guessing Chicago or California. Almost every Pole lives there. Swoją drogą to jest niezmiernie popierd..... jaka jest segregacja w USA. Niby wielki kraj, niby wielkie możliwości (tak, jasne) a jakoś Polacy w USA głównie zasiedlają Chicago, NY albo CA. Bez sensu.

Europa poszła do przodu, a oni zostali.

Oni to tak sobie luźno żyją a my martwimy się kartkami na mięso (if you know what I mean). Brak rozróżnienia pomiędzy życiem prywatnym / rodzinnym a pracą. Ameryka to chory kraj.

Yup exactly. If you work in IT or tech sector in general, Poland is a good option now, but people often seem to overlook that Poland still has issues with low wages etc. There are still many people who barely get through the month. There is a reason why alot of Poles living in the border regions often go to work as seasonal esparagus pickers and similar stuff. But if people are working in IT and tech, then Poland is a very good option right now, especially since cost of living is low while wages in IT and tech are high.

1. Because you were not successful there. Competition was though. 2. Polish people (living in Poland) are used to work very hard and do not have high self esteem (inferiority complex) so are easier to be exploited. Potentially better revenue for your business. 3. Law regulations are less strict. Poland can be used as a dumping ground for some 'western' initiatives. 4. Poland is not Warsaw BTW. Try to live and run a business outside a big city without knowing polish language.

@JerzyFeliksKlein

It's funny, because a lot of people criticizing this video, it's author and Poland don't seem to actually now what life is like abroad. If you read the comments from either people who live abroad or lived abroad and came back - they seem to agree. Most of the negative comments come from people who live in Poland and have a very negative, but more importantly detached from reality, vision of Poland. I live in UK, Birmingham to be precise. On paper - second biggest city in UK (Manchester Metropolitan area is actually bigger). The city is dull, dirty and falling apart. In UK 25-30% children live in poverty. Man United player Marcus Rashford campaigned for schools to give out meals during the summer because otherwise children would go hungry. This winter, with the gas price rises people will have to choose whether to eat or to heat their homes. The inequality is second in the western world. I actually worked for an IT company though I'm not an IT professional myself. Sure, there were some absolutely brilliant people, but the majority was average at most. Rather uninspired 9-5 shift workers. Productivity in UK is one of the lowest in Europe. That's the reality of living "abroad"

As a polish software developer, I find only one thing that said that is imprecise to the point of being misinforming or even on the border of being a lie. Programmers in Poland are still almost only men. It's nothing like 50:50, it's like 95:5 or something like that. But it's true that we have a lot of women in the IT. And that's the issue. They're not programmers, they're graphics, data analysts, scrum masters, IT project owners, maybe database engineers but not programmers. (There will always be some exceptions, but I even saw only one programming woman in all my 3 workplaces - all in Poland)

I lived here for 30 years and what he doesn't mention is: - IT jobs are some of the best paid professions in Poland, you will be the rich island on the poor ocean - Polish economy shrunk by 3,5%, while UK economy by 10%, well duh, it's hard to shrink down something that is already 10 times smaller in comparison - you can get by using only English about the same way you would in France, I guarantee you 100% that adult Poles who speak decent English is not a majority - matter of fact Poland is the east of the west and the west of the east, that's why Ukrainians see it as an improvement and Germans and Dutch as a 3rd world country - yes it is absolutely true that Poland doesn't have problems with mi.grant crime, but you will very quickly find out why migrants never wanted to settle here in the first place lol - true about culture and history - true about food - Poland is an inexpensive country...for Americans such as Dominik, who earns in dollars and spends in PLN, for sure not for Poles. Polish rent is so inexpensive that almost 50% of adults between 25 and 35 still live with their parents - 15$ on uber eats will get you so much food you will have plenty leftovers for the following day, if you can't down a large pizza in one sitting then yes - there's a great work-life balance in Poland...if you're working for an foreign-owned corporation in Warsaw. Why do you think poles made brits and dutch look like slackers in their own countries, because they worked twice as hard for twice as less -true about maternity leave and 26 days paid leave - largest migrant groups are not Italians, Portuguese and Spaniards, it's Ukrainians and Belarusian, because for them Poland looks like Germany and Netherlands look to Poles Matter of fact, ask Dominik why his parents left for US instead of staying in polish prosperity

Much of what you say, Dominik, is true. And surprising to some, undoubtedly. One major caveat has to be made, though. It all works smoothly and delivers endless wows when you're here on a Western executive, or even managerial, pay. Then life indeed seems like a blast in Poland. With many things, chiefly services, regional goods, and properties to an extent too, are at half of price or less. Yes, there is little to frown about then. The story changes abruptly for the average Jan Kowalski though. With an average Polish salary hovering at around 1/3 of western equivalent, and energy, fuel, and world goods going at worlds prices (or higher, in fact) life here, for the locals suddenly ain't so rosy. Great to hear nonetheless your appreciation for the professional talent here, our resilience, and little quirks and charms.

Ten film to jedna z najlepszych reklam Polski, jakie widziałem. Wymieniasz same suche i przede wszystkim prawdziwe fakty, o których my Polacy często zapominamy.

@@quantumdom on this video you've said " we Poles tend to feed our inferiority complex " among other things . Do you think of yourself as Polish then ? Or were you a Polish national living in San Francisco then returned back ?

I am absolutely, undeniably impressed and humbled by your observations and analysis of the geopolitical situation and history of Poland. I left Poland 26 years ago for the US. Your video makes me proud and home sick. Keep up the good work!

Knowing Poland and the US where I was born: it makes NO SENSE for a Pole to live in the US now, absolutely no sense. Poland is both a civilized and with a fantastic population, you don't have to aggressiveness and violence that is prevalent in the US. A you have access to good food which is nearly impossible in the US for certain items unless you farm them yourself.

We don't have even our country , communistic-jewish nkwd goverment still decide about economy, rules, taxes Alsow kalstein and her thusk sold out our industry 3mln emigration rate and more want to leave this shitty place with zus or other black Mafia - church . During 83-89 my parents build house , buy 2 cars and have money for company What i have like a poker card dealer during 2006-11 , 10 thousand euro save money rest I spend for travelling but still 1 thousand euro salary is funny when you can get x4 times more like a cleaner in iceland and you work 6,5 hours a day ,6 weeks payout holidays and no stress or responsibility

Do 18tego roku życia zaledwie kilka miesięcy . Promujmy nasz inwestujmy tu pieniądze i będzie dobrze . Człowiek dojrzały mówi : "Tak to moja wina" kiedy dzieci mówią "To on zaczął!"

Niestety, w niektórych kręgach 20zł to survival i norma.

Dzieci to przyszłość i najlepsza inwestycja jaką można sobie wyobrazić .
