Me and my roommate has been doing this in parallell since this short was dropped. We continue to eat as usual (very low carb high fat high salt diet), but with 20-25 extra eggs a day. The results so far are interesting for sure. We feel less energized, probably due to the drowsyness induced by gaining weight. However, my squat and bench strength have risen dramatically in a few weeks. I can see hypertrophy improvements, and I don't feel like I have gained very much fat percentage. I have however gone from 83 to 87 kgs. I expect I will learn to feel less sleepy eventually. Also, sleep quality is terrific!
@cherylh4688
7 ай бұрын
Maybe you are sensitive to the egg white, as kany people are, and that is causing the drowsiness. Either that or perhaps you are eating too much protein in your meals and the excess is being converted to glucose, kicking you out of ketosis ,and burning the glucose for fuel, thus switching you to a carb burning machine again. And then maybe you aren't giving it enough other carbs to keep it supplied with what it then needs for energy. But i might try eating only the yolks for a week or so, and then add whites back to see if you react. If you are sensitive, you should experience s heightened reaction.

Are 1960s eggs equivalent to modern eggs though? Chicken eggs fat composition depends highly on what they eat. Modern day chickens diets make them like little seed oil concentrators lol. I did some quick googling and it appears soy began to become popular in the 1960s, so without doing some deep research it looks to me like eggs back then would be lower in linoleic acid. IMO that could change the outcome. Hope you're at least using "free range" eggs for that reason. (Not that free range is actually a natural chicken diet, but it's better than being fattened with soy meal.)

I’m a woman and did 4 boiled eggs every day for a month. By the second week I was tired of the taste. I felt great cause I was working out then come home eat the boiled eggs, sweet potato, pineapple and had a green shake. But would get nauseous by the fourth week and stop.

@@jaysmythe154 The comment isn't denniying or affirming it will work, but criticizing the stance (clearly shown in the video) of "gonna try this indstead of doing proper previous research" it may end up being OK or even a success, but it's reckless to sy the least. When I exercised 4-5 times a week I would supplement the my diet with 5 raw eggs after each workout - Sometimes mixed within a shake including soy, a little half & half, blueberries, avocados, spinach, etc but if I didn't have enough time then I'd eat them straight (cracked them into a glass then shotgunned then). Not sure if this made a difference but I'd always wash the raw eggs with soap and water before cracking them open. I never had a negative reaction from eating them raw but it definitely took longer to recover when I did not eat them.

Down South state of India if a person falls down from a tree or high point, the first thing given is raw eggs in coconut water. Apparently the proteins in the eggs will help in not causing any bruises and helps in muscle recovery. The same is given when someone gets an electric shock. I don't know the science behind it, but it's the first step of treatment given before taking them to hospital.
