As a regular viewer (dabbled in VGC but not very good), I think myself and many others are really happy to have you as a commentator. We completely get not wanting to sacrifice so much of other things in your life for a chance at Worlds, and honestly I would say that you're one of the best analysts that the game has to offer. The fact that you have so much experience and even have the skill to compete with the people you're commentating on allows you to make insights that are passed over by some other commentators, and as a viewer that's a really enjoyable experience to have, especially as compared to the basic play-by-play commentary that is so common. Helps us feel like we can understand some of the nuance of the game, even if we don't have the skill XD So even though it's a loss to not have you competing for the championship, just know that you provide so much extra value for the community, both on this channel and in your analysis, and we love you for it

Aaron you're not only the best commentator, you're the ONLY commentator to me. You epitompize excellence in the role. I don't know if my name looks familiar but I've been watching you since literally you're first month on YT. I absolutely would have no connection to this game any more if it weren't for you and these videos, and yet somehow you're so genuine and knowledgeable that I come back for hour long episodes every day. I'm sure you deserve to win Worlds one day but I hope you know that your commentating has surely had an even greater impact than that title could ever confer.

I remember meeting you back in 2011 when you came up to my brother and I during Nationals and we chatted about how our matches were going. You were already a big name back then so meant a lot you chatted with newer players like us! And 10 years later, it meant so much to run into you on ladder and still see that genuine love for the game and welcoming spirit from you, especially as 2021 was one of my toughest years. To me, you've transcended beyond being a World Champion -- you represent the best parts of Pokemon! Very excited to see you commentate Worlds and excited for your bright future not just in Pokemon, but in life 😊

I didn't even realize how I felt about this video until the very end, but it just suddenly struck me that this is such a beautiful video. I've been watching your videos since middle school, even all the way back in the 2014 era. You're one of the only youtubers I've ever met in person, and you were just as genuine in real life as I'd imagined. I see so much of myself in your journey, and I'm so happy to see you succeed in everything you do. I quite literally cannot wait for the day that you eventually win the world championships, I am sure that wherever in the world I am during that time, I'll be watching live for sure. You're easily my favorite VGC commentator so I'll gladly listen to your commentary every single worlds, but that year when the stars align and you just feel like it's time to go all in, I'll be cheering for my favorite player Aaron "Cybertron" Zheng.

I can totally relate to how you feel about this. I'm a competitor myself over here in Korea and balancing competitive Pokemon with my actual career life was a long question for me as well. Being a responsible adult is an important factor but quitting all your hobbies as you 'grow up' is just sad, and I don't plan on giving it up. I figured this year would be the last year I could put all of me into VGC and luckily it did pay off as I achieved Day 2 invite with 3rd place in Korea. However the balance we are trying to find is a forever question that I have not yet come to a conclusion. I do still feel we'll be able to find it moving on. Hope you may find your own version of it in your life as well! Have a nice travel and see you in Yokohama:)
