I quilt because I love to plan on colors and sizes of blocks then putting it together. So many pretty options to make from patterns I see on KZitem.

Years ago, I spent the night with my niece and her family. I snuggled under a worn out sailboat quilt. I asked about it and it was my nephew-in-law’s childhood quilt. So the next Christmas I made him a sailboat quilt. Years later, he actually sent me a picture of him under it while watching football last fall! Enjoy giving quilts knowing they enjoy them!

I totally feel the blessing when I give my quilts/blankets. Greatest gift to myself is to see the joy of the receiver. And no, mine are not great at all but the gift is still loved.

Same. I make a ton of mistakes but they turn out great in the end. The recipient only loves the gift and the love that went into it. Great joy.

I’m a new quilter. I’m actually making my first quilt. I love this quilting community so much. I have found and met the nicest, most supportive people. Thank you for sharing your story and for all the love you put into your creations.

It's great to hear these stories! I like to quilt because it's like putting a jigsaw puzzle together made of fabric. And I like to sew. My first quilt was a t-shirt quilt I made for my husband-who was my boyfriend at the time-out of car show t-shirts, since cars are his thing. It turned out great and I haven't looked back. By the way, I love the design of the quilt displayed behind her. Does anyone know the name of the block/pattern?

It's a MSQ Co. pattern called Wanderlust that was part of a Triple Play in 2022. Here is the KZitem link to it; kzitem.info/news/bejne/zH6lvGx_joaBi3o
