Just picked this up using your link. I'm leaning up on my business expenses and this was the perfect solution to help me do that while giving me all the scheduling features I used on my other scheduling software. Thanks!

I'm having a lot of trouble finding a solution for what felt like a pretty common and straightforward requirement, but apparently isn't: Whoever I decide to go with, I need for my clients to be able to choose a :20 booking, a :50 booking, or an :80 booking, but all on one seamless interface and with no risk of conflicts. So if the first client chooses a :20 booking at 8:00 on Monday, the next availability (after a :10 buffer) is 8:30, but the next client can choose a :50 booking to start at 8:30 without having to toggle to a different display. Can TidyCal do this?

No reply after 1 year...........WTF!!! Anyway, the answer is NO, TIDYCAL CANNOT DO IT. The only way to do this is by setting up 1 calendar per different booking time length, which is a bit unwieldy, and extremely difficult to coordinate al the appointments onto 1 page. I wish these self-appointed "gurus" would answer the more difficult questions!!!

@@patrickcunniff154 It would be an exaggeration to say that I finally got so frustrated about this that I decided to go back to work -- but I *did* get extremely frustrated about this, and I DID eventually decide to go back to work, so.... :D :D :D

Question: Is there a 'checkbox' or 'automation' for the owner/operator of the business to 'validate/verify' an appointment/meeting before a client just 'believes' that they have the appointment? It seems as though this is a request that just 'goes through' and is suggestive the meeting is absolute. Often times I'll be with a client for many hours and then people will try to schedule for open slots and I'll have multiple requests for one point in time and then I'll have to notify them that something isn't available.

You shouldn’t have this problem. And yes you can add a checkbox field. This calendar application will show you as busy once someone books you for a specific time.

Okay, so Tidycal sometimes requires you to resync your google calendar so that it picks up when meetings are getting added. Make sure everything's synced. I had the same problem one time.

As a freelancer, can I use tidycal to help my clients book appointments?
@ProductiveDude

Yes your clients can book appointments with you if you get tidycal. Also, if your clients want to be able to use tidycal to book their own meetings with others I recommend signing up for app sumo affiliate and referring them to have them create their own tidy cal accounts.

@@ProductiveDude thanx but all I need is to send a link out when people ask to reserve the they book and finally every morning the opening staff checks the calendar. Would that be doable? Most specialty restaurant ones ask for a percentage of each dinners spend which is pretty crappy and it doesn't look that different than tidycal

can people pay a scheduled event if they don't have Paypal or Stripe? Is it possible just to enter your credit card details? I'm not sure how it works with either of them... Thanks for the useful info!
@ProductiveDude
Жыл бұрын
Yes anyone with credit card can pay. Stripe is used to pay via credit card. You can also pay via PayPal account or by credit card via PayPal so credit cards are widely accepted on both of these platforms and it will work regardless of if the person buying the product has an account or now.

How do they sustain their business then at a one-time fee of 29.00? Is this where hey lure in and then suddenly change the pricing plans once you are hooked?

So far no trickery, I've been using Tidycal for a few months and it's been great. App Sumo is a large, well-established company and their original apps tend to be very well built. The way I think of them offering Tidycal for a one time 29 dollar fee is that it's part of their ongoing marketing for their app marketplace. I personally trust them quite a bit. I think if they required significant budget to keep the app running they wouldn't be offering it so cheap. :)

You can sync TidyCal with your Google Calendar, then I believe you can just sync your Google Calendar to Plutio so technically yes they do work together. If you want to embed TidyCal in Plutio you can do that as well. You could also set-up integrations between TidyCal and Plutio on Zapier. Lots of ways that they can connect with each other! :)
