I like how he says he needs a 100% keyboard, but buys 75% keyboard

I would just say the same as the other comment here. 1. Make sure to buy a full size or 100% keybaord if you want to be able to use all of the features. There are many different layout options. 2. There are hundreds of different switch options with a variety of sound profiles (including silent) as well as linear, tactile, and clicky switches. They even have “speed” switches that have a shorter stem which would help with the large space under the keys. I have also seen them labeled as as “silver” or something similar. 3. Several different options for keycap profiles as well including low profile ones. Some are much taller than regular stock keycaps. I believe OEM profile is the standard size. Cherry profile is a popular profile and is a bit shorter than OEM. SA is very tall and probably not for you. One other suggestion I have is to find a comfortable wrist rest. It could help you quite a bit if you are having trouble pressing the keys or reaching/straining to push them. This may all seem like a lot of effort, but this is also a hobby for many people who enjoy working on keyboards. If you find that a standard plastic keyboard suits your needs, that is fine too. It’s all personal preference and there is no “right” answer. Good luck brother!

Royal Kludge RK96, Cherry profile, a bit lower than standard, pairs well with a nice wristwrest, backlighting, 96% layout, which means it is a condensed version of a 100%, including your numpad. either get the pale green tactiles if you appreciate a nice bump and response when typing, or the veridian linears if you like smooth switches, either way they give off a nice thock sound, while still being leagues quieter than your mx blues. 107$ after tax, its also wired, or wireless via 2.4 GHz, or Bluetooth! Actually a steal of a board. Mechanical Keyboards are all about options, I promise there will be a layout, switch combo out there you will love!

i'm no keyboard guru but i do like building my won mechanical keyboard from time to time. i do just have to say, all the things you talk about not liking are fixable. for the sizing issue and missing buttons, just make sure you get the size keyboard that you need; which it seems you did! for the sound, there are a bunch of different switches you can choose from that make quieter and different sounds. there are even some that are called silents and are indeed silent! for the reaching keys issue, i understand this because i had the same issue when i first swapped and now i have that issue when i try to use membrane keyboards. that can be somewhat remedied by switching the profile of keys that you use. that changes the shapes of the buttons and can make them feel different to press or easier to reach when typing. i hope i didn't ramble too much! keyboard are just kind of a special interest of mine lol. i hope you dont give up all the way on mechanicals, they are amazing once you find one you love!!

you bought a keyboard with the loudest switches possible and high profile keycaps. If you want it silient and lower its not problem to buy one. (even on budget) Mechanical feel is much better than the membrane for me. But you know its all preferences, still i think you should know more about keyboards to say things like that because you dont actually know what u missing

No offense but it seems you just need a 90 or full keyboard and quieter switches, those are the loudest possible switches (blues). I recommend you find some reds, blacks, browns or whatever, but a membrane one is fine if you dont want to spend more money.

Man buys some of the worst cheapo mechanical keyboards with bad sound, bad switches and awful clicky sound then proceeds to make a video to say he doesn't like mechanical keebs and that they suck 🫨 It's not you, just the purchases you made that don't fit your needs. According to what you say here and assuming you're on a tight budget I have a recommendation: Try the Nuphy Air 75 low-profile keyboard or the Lofree Flow: it has a TKL layout which might suits you as well as low-profile keys which might be closer to your preference (laptop like/low profile membrane). The nice thing is that they still have all the benefits of custom mechanicals like hot swappable boards, higher actuation that doesn't require bottoming out, good typing consistency, can be easily be taken appart for mods or repairs and sound good (and/or more silent if you want it to be so). They also have very good battery life, premium materials (aluminium, PBT keycaps) and triple mode connection (wired, BT and low latency 2.4GHz dongle). That is if you want something that you don't need to mod/build from the get go. If you don't mind doing so, others have already provided good paths to explore to build your perfect custom keyboard.

habibi there’s much better you can do , for 70$ you can get someone with all fn keys f1-f12 and the number pad to the right. i’d look up “EPOMAKER 100% keyboard “ they have many options with different sounds and it will feel and make typing so much better.
