Agreed; Honda crf250l wrong choice for the route featured in vid. Canoe would be far better.

Greay video, mate! Thanks alot for all the useful information. I've watched alot of videos and this is the one that convinced me to get the 250l based on my riding style. :)

I think it comes down to wath bikes you already had. I never had a dirt bike. Then i got the CRF 250l and with stock tires, and to me (not having ever riden a better dirt bike) its just fine, i cant complain because o have nothing to compare it to. And i enjoy it very much, i go out like 4 or 5 hours exploring and do some single tracks, little jumps. I actually like feeling the back tire loosing grip. But for someone that has riden bikes with more power and 50 % less weight and agressive tires forget it. Then you sit on the 250l and feel disapointed obviously

I bought it and put about 1500 into it and the bike is awesome I love it and I’ve done more than what he did in the video, the bikes not bad at all and it’s a blast to ride only thing I can say is they should put adjustable shocks on it that’s all

For mostly street and basic trail get the crf250L. For the opposite get the wr250r.

You definitely need a dedicated off road bike. Can’t believe your dealer wouldn’t let you test ride the crf.I’ve test ridden bikes costing at least 5 times as much as the crf. That’s ridiculous.

Put a big bore on it for 500$ and make it over 300cc. That would make up the shortage for power.

Thank you for being so incredibly honest in your review. I live in upstate ny, and was actually just starting look i to dual sports in the 250 class. And honestly, i was concerned about the weight. Because i saw that these 250 seem to be a bit heavy for their class. Its almost like you'd be better off taking the weight with a 400. The power to weight ratios seem a bit unfair..

Darik Rome you’re very welcome! Yes, they are very very heavy and have a serious lack in power. Fun bike and all for cruising around around town for a few mins but that’s about it. Good luck with your purchase

hey.. useful video. I think your expectations were high from the get go and its a shame the stock bike isnt right up there as well. Similar concerns myself. I'm considering a KTM350EXC-F for going off road/dual sport. Just a lot more money and thats where the CRF scores. Its so darn cheap at first.

Hahahh looks like you cant ride anything your not very skilled if you think your a fast and great rider cause your not and if you cant pick up this bike up you should look at vids how to pic up a fallen motercycle. I believe there is one with a woman picking up a full dressed harly hahahaha. I think a yamaha pw50 would be the right choice for you nice and small and light so you can pick it up hahahha.
