Tbh I would sometimes wonder about you, like what happened, if you were okay, etc. Nice to know you're doing well. You are allowed to take breaks and upload as often or as little as you want. You don't have to have a set schedule. Go at your own pace. It's your channel. The people who care will be here to watch. :)

I for one was eagerly awaiting your videos and would check back periodically. You are criminally underrated and should have alot more of a following. It is def hard to be a youtuber but I think the ones that are most successful aside from being pleasing to look at are the ones that make it their full time job. Some are just naturally amazing at what they do. I know money is really not your motivation however I would gladly donate to see more videos especially roleplays or ones where you just talk exclusively for like 30 min to 45 min those are my favorite of what you do.

I think the biggest curse for someone on here is to promise a video every x amount of days. And as you said, if that's your livelihood then you have to, and then it quickly turns into a chore rather than being your passion. I don't think any video I've ever watched from you has felt forced, and that's a really hard to thing to achieve. I did miss your videos, but I totally understand why you stopped. I also understand why you want to start again after having taken a break from it. You've got thousands of people that understand. None of this video was bullshit, like the generic "why I've been gone" stuff full of tropes, it was just pure honesty and I think I and many other people appreciate that. We will be here anyway. All the best, my friend.

Wow, This video really spoke to me. I started my ASMR channel a little over a year ago and holy cow I had no idea how much work goes into making a KZitem video. I’ve really enjoyed the process of learning how to film, how to edit video and sound etc. It was also a good thing to do when I was pretty isolated in the pandemic. I also have felt disillusioned by the ASMR content that is filling my KZitem watch list. I guess that is part of the reason I started my channel is that I was nostalgic for the ASMR of years past. I think I also felt like maybe I could give back, like maybe someone would enjoy the things I make, like I’ve enjoyed the videos of so many beautiful souls. Your bedtime videos kind of remind me of Joe Pera on adult swim, if you like male ASMR artists you might like his content too. I’m glad to see you back, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve zonked out listening to the sound of your unintentional casino videos. Be well, Bix

You don’t owe anyone anything. The value and the “re-watch”-ability of your videos are what make them top shelf. And as far has you working out, I think that’s amazing. I used to own a gym. I hope you enjoy it as much as you enjoy other hobbies. While we do appreciate the update because we do wonder of how you were, a lot of us are totally okay with either no more new videos or a couple of videos a year. Asmr isn’t what it used to be, and your channel is a great collection of the good times.

As a programmer by day, musician/composer by night, husband/father... I can relate to everything you've said. Brain never leaving work... going through dry periods & periods of high energy & creativity. And that's okay. I've enjoyed your "bedtime" videos most. Whether or not I was agreeing with you, you got me thinking, and the vibe was very relaxing. I also continue to enjoy your book, some of which I found helpful. (Never understood the "casino" stuff lol.) Regardless of where this goes, whether you quit, or just take a break, or start making videos regularly, or if it's just a now-and-then thing, it's all good. I'm glad you're doing well, glad you're finding "balance", and thank you for the content you've both made, and curated for others to discover & enjoy. You've tried to make the world a better place. For that, I'm appreciative. Go well, sir!

Been thinking a lot lately how immunized I feel like I’ve become to ASMR videos, especially to videos that I leaned on for quality relaxation. These days I get on and nothing really triggers anything and I end up wandering through videos for hours with nothing more than a poor night’s sleep to show for it. Maybe it’s just me, but have you covered this “topic” on your show? If you find yourself not responding to ASMR, do you think you can rebuild a sensitivity to it? Silly! It’s not about your standing in the ASMR community, where you’re at in comparison t9 others in this genre, it’s about something in your videos scratching an itch with some people. We’re a picky bunch, and it can be hard to find a particular asmrtist that scratches all itches lol. For example, I myself don’t like whispering, I like soft spoken. Also don’t care about tapping or mouth sounds or sounds at all. I don’t even watch it, I turn the phone facedown and just listen. Also put it on repeat so it’s on all night lol. Others are different in what they like or can fall asleep to. The vast number of combinations of different interests are pretty unique but you clearly made your ASMR vids in such a way that checked a lot of boxes for others! Your baccarat videos are interesting to me and at times I slept while playing them. Also the long runtime is appealing. As for you doing them yourself, I appreciated those too because I like your voice. 😊 However, most of us are aware of the difficulties content creators face and understand burnout. I’m perfectly happy with what you’ve done so far, I like the comfortable factor of already knowing what the videos contain. I’d say you already have carved out your niche pretty successfully, so don’t sweat it. If you want to make more, make more. If not, don’t. I don’t watch any of the creators you mentioned. But I’m older, so some trends bypass me and I’m fine with that too haha. At the end of the day none of us ever know how we’re affecting others over the internet, but going by your numbers it looks like you’ve affected a lot of people in a positive way. Do what makes you happy! I do watch Jamie French and she’s gone into detail about the pitfalls she’s faced as a comedic content creator. That’s been enough to put me off the idea…EVER. 🤣

I too feel annoyed by intentional ASMR. All of the examples you gave were spot on. It just becomes so repetitive that it doesn't work anymore.
