So true. I have to admit I also did not think much of them. The part about the flower made me laugh. Yes, we need to see pics of their leaves!

I would love to hear about your care of Hoyas in Pon. I don’t have much luck in airy potting mix for some. Would like to know your procedures and fertilizers.

Would you be able to give us an update on how the DIY humidifier is doing/held up?

I didn't get the Hoya appeal either. Then my friend got an Hoya obavata. Just an obavata. Nothing special, but I was in love. I only have a polyneura, a HUGE linearis, a HUGE obavata, krimson queen/princess, some weird triangle leaf one, a kerrii splash, and a Bella... I have more on the way and I'm going to get a silver dollar sooner than later. I love touching them. I just love touching the leaves. I reach out and touch that first love, my obavata the most. You have a few more I like on your list. I'm just waiting for the right price point on most of them

I had exactly the same transformation in perspective regarding hoyas. I absolutely love them now. They’re some of my favorite plants in my collection. I’d love to see your collection!

I love the variety of hoyas. The fact that leaves are so different from one another.

I feel this! I started to really like my hoyas when I figured out how to water them. I used to leave them dry for weeks and they just sat there like weird little statues. Now I water them as soon as the soil is dry and they are finally growing well! I'm glad they tolerated two years of neglect while I figured out how to properly care for them.

I don't know what happened to your channel but you're soooo smart with plants. I know it's a lot of messing around but it would be great if you made a return. ❤

I'm still on the fence about hoyas. I have a few. Just common ones. I guess I need some hoya hoops lol.

I have kept quite a few different plants over the years including Hoya but I came to dislike them greatly. I can understand changing through the plant journey because I have a lot. I feel like its a good thing to do plant purges too and really hone in on what brings you joy!

That is exactly how I was feeling about hoyas. It is like you took my thoughts right out of my brain. I definitely was turned off of the bleached looked of hoyas until I realized that they don't actually look like that lol I also have been liking them more than my aroids right now because they are kind of picky or they just get too many pests. I feel like I need more easy going plants right now.

Oh! You talked about my BIGGEST pet peeve about Hoya advice! Just because they CAN survive a month with no water doesn't mean they WANT to be dry for a month. I water my huge obavata every day. It's super active and it's so different every day from the crazy growth.

I completely agree with you regarding species that look better not sunstresed or that shouldn't be sunstresed. I would be very interested to see a video on your fertilizer routine for Hoya 🙂 I just received some German Hoya fertilizer that is mentioned frequently by collectors so I'm excited to see how it affects the growth.

Oh how I love my Hoyas. My first is 20 years old but most of mine are 2 or 3. I think I'm somewhere around 60+ species now and each one is different. I would love to see an update on yours .

Oh no please don’t, I can’t watch this 🙈 I had my first Hoya a year ago which came as a free cutting. I have been researching hoyas lately because they take up less space than Aroids 😂
