First of all, my condolences to you and the family. You have just iterated some valuable lessons in running a start-up. Thank you for sharing. As Oprah says, every setback is a teachable moment. So glad to see you're forging ahead more knowledgeable from your experiences. You needed time to reset. Welcome back!

I really appreciate your transparency in this video. As a small business owner myself, I have been in this position and a lot of us get into the position due to lack of education and experience in managing our business. Fortunately, the IRS gives us 3yrs to "screw-up" in the USA. I hope SVG does something similar for small businesses as well.

Welcome back Maurice! Following a dream in business, like in life, will always have sacrifices and hardships to endure. You've certainly had your share but have spoken of those here with honesty and integrity. I have no doubt you will achieve the goals you reach for. I've heard it said, "Success is never owned; it is rented, and the rent is due every day! Despite what your own real estate advice might tell you, keep paying that rent! 😊

My dear sorry you through this. We know how our people are. I suspect that someone in income tax who know you decided to come after you. It happens all the time. I hope they have the same strength for Lawyers who don’t pay their taxes.

No one takes you seriously until you are 35 years old. I bought a excavator when I was 26+ and the insurance company said I was too inexperienced to provide service for me. I'm working offshore now. I can't wait to start my own business in a different field, but I'm going back to heavy equipment in the end.
