As ever what a wonderful video. And I agree with so much. I wish I was better at languages but certainly from the sound aspect(as my hearing has got worse) is a challenge. Socialising is such a problem in a noisy environment as I just find it so hard to differentiate sounds in a noisy environment. I want to improve my French a bit if I can as I have such a love for France. Lovely to hear your story.

I can relate to a lot of that Will. I too have a fascination and love for Spain, which prompted me to learn Spanish. But it's challenging when trying to have conversations, which has disheartened me at times. Still, I don't regret it at all.

Hi Ahmed, I think you probably already know this, but I'm concerned about the people who might misunderstand this video. Deaf people are still able to learn any kind of written language. Despite what some people might believe, reading or writing a language has nothing to do with being able to hear the sounds. Those two are separate skills. Deaf people are still able to write and read in any kind of language, around the world.

Yes, of course there isn't an intention to indicate that other Deaf people can't read and write in other languages. They are more than capable of doing that with the right level of support, and I agree with you there.. I have emphasised that it's my own personal experience and shared in the description that "I am never going to learn oral languages again" rather than the wider community.

Very interesting I really enjoy your videos I can relate to some of your point in this video about language as being dyslexic I had to additional one to one lesson to gasp that basic in English at school & never caught up with my peers until my early 30s but with predictive text & speak talk I write so much more now so when at school I had to learn French & German I completely struggle & was laughed at, picked on & teased for my lack of ability to speak & learn like my peers I now enjoy writing especially In rhymes as I find it helps me all the time I also am a visual learner who enjoyed learning through pictures I know not everyone likes my style but it works for me 🥰I am dyslexic my name is Nanny💕K🤗 ⭐️From seesingsay 👀🎶🤗⭐️ 🤗I read & write in rhyme🎶 🤗It helps me all the time🕰 🤗I sing lots of songs🎶 🤗All day long⏳ 🤗As I’m working with a 👥 🤗Different part of my brain🧠 🤗One sided for talking & reading🧠 🤗One sides for singing & rhyming🧠 🤗Using Rhythm & Rhyme🎶 🤗It helps me all the time🕰 🤔I wish someone could explain to me🗣 🤗It helps me to learn & help me see 👀 🤗It help me with words 📖 🤗It helps me spell please do tell🗣 🤗To help me understand 🧠 🤗I sing a little song 🎶 🤗That don’t take long⏳ 🤗I also like using pictures🖼 👌That confirm to me what I see 👀 🖼They are what I’m reading📖 🤗& what I’m saying🗣 ⭐️Stars that rhyme sing all the time🎵 😀Sing a song that won’t take long⏳ ⭐️Stars that rhyme we sing & sign🤗 👥We help you sing & make you grin😀 ⭐️Stars that rhyme sing all the time🕰 🤗Help you to think to ask for a drink☕️ ⭐️Stars that rhyme we sing all the time🕰 🤗Help you begin to say new things😀 ⭐️Stars that rhyme sing all the time🕰 🤗When we sing we learn new things🤗⭐️Stars that rhyme we sing all the time🕰 😀As we walk we learn to talk🗣 💕Have a lovely day💕 🤗Nanny💕K⭐️seesingsay👀🎶🤗⭐️

It's such a shame that you had a bad experience of learning languages. But it sounds like you have found something that works for you, which is great 🙂

Talking about some encouragement, sign language is now included in school curricula for all educational levels.
