yI know I've mentioned it on socials and have shared posts about it, but talking in a room of friends, strangers and co-authors about asexuality was the most out-of-my-comfort-zone thing I've done... and I absolutely loved it. Not only did I love having this space at the Collective Humanity book launch to speak openly about asexuality, but I loved making the decision to be as honest as possible with my answers to these questions.
The first part is why I wrote my poem "Feels Right." The second is what the poem is about, and the third is my answer to what it's like to be vulnerable in writing like this. This was the first time I spoke so publicly about my experience being on the asexual spectrum, and it was amazing.
Shout out to Elizabeth Suggs not only for capturing this in her IG live, but for also helping me feel so comfortable at my very first book event! 🥹🫶
