Because it's only good to be honest when you are asked for your opinion. Don't go out and tell the truth to people that dont ask for the truth but that's circumstantial. For example if they're clearly hurting themselves without knowing or being ignorant then its good to let them know the truth

I love solitude, I love independence, but I'm also so lonely... I wish there was someone to understand me, lend me a shoulder when I am down, and come home to. There is this quote I love from little women. "Women have minds and they have souls as well as just hearts. They’ve got ambition and they’ve got talent as well as just beauty. I am so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for. I’m so sick of it! But-I am so lonely.”

All this talk about "dying alone." Do this, make it your mission to find a partner. Be upfront about what you want. If you want a family, say that. Do several first dates and see if they lead to a second. Be civil and honest. I met someone after my first spouse died. We were both older, not in our twenties anymore. He was ready to settle down but had a lot going on with his career and did not want a lot of frills. Works out great. You can do it.

@@JD-ku3xt Wrong. You absolutely should be upfront that you want children, because otherwise you could end up with someone who doesn't, or someone who already got snipped. My major professor was married twice and was upfront about NOT wanting children. It's an important thing to know, basic! If you think that wanting children makes a you a breed cow, then please don't have children. Human beings are meant to breed; if we didn't, there wouldn't be any people. I'm perfectly fine with people who don't want children, but in general it's a natural and very strong drive.

@krewjin 100% at least i think we do. I have seen others judging me when i reacted differently to a situation. They often expect an emotional reaction from me, but instead get a clear, level headed one. This is considered very "masculine" from me. But i dont care about being or looking feminine to fit in, i have always done things in a stubborn way and my confidence is pretty high. Its not only how we react, its things like, i love going for a walk at night, when its quiet and i am totally alone, just thinking and watching the stars when the night sky is clear. My bff thinks this is weird, but i think this is what introverts like to do...we like the quiet, we like to think

I just know what i want and know what i believe in and getting in a argument with me can get heated while im just being all relaxed in interested in their pov. I really like to have an argument with an less likeminded person since it makes me understand others more and more about the subject while i know what they believe in is not true. It can be frustrating as facts lay right on front of them. When will they learn?

I have only a handful of female friends for these reasons. I hate small talks and gossiping. I can’t relate to most females on intellectual level. I think other females found me intimidating. My guess, they are insecure due to either my intelligence or my looks (not that I am so pretty but I have good face and figure). I often think they don’t want their men to be around me. Probably too competitive for them to have me around. Another reason is I can smell bullshits and fakes miles away. I don’t give oxygen to those females seeking attention, or enablers. I think once they know I am not easily fooled, there is no reason to ‘keep’ me. I don’t care about statuses and hierarchy too. Those females who strive on those aspects are gone cases to me.

I was unaware that "bubbly" was now a stereotyped trait of women. That's a new one on me. Emotional and empathetic, yes, (which comes from 75 percent of women being Feelers) but now over half the world's population is also required to be bubbly? Let's not perpetuate a new stereotype. It is hard enough having to deal with not meeting the standards as they are. -- an INTJ.

Talking about feelings means that people will give you feedback/opinion on those (because most listen to reply, not to understand). Feedback that is possibly stressful, or that comes from people whose thoughts you don't care much to begin with. Allowing ourselves to open with our emotional doubts and fears uses energy by itself... Repeatedly doing that with random people would make me want to go back home and straight to sleep. Why would I talk about my feelings with anyone but people I actually trust and that bring out the best in me?

Trust me INTJ male isn't all that great. Put your personality in a 6'2 280lb frame, your "aloofness" becomes "intimidating" real fast. As you have probably experienced, you try to be honest, which is the most respectful you can be and you end up the bad guy, when I do that I'm a big mean bully. If I try to take the other road and be quiet, then I am "intimidating" or "hostile" and usually "cold". I can't win and I am a male nurse, 90% of my coworkers are womyn, I have two sisters and a very loud mother, I have spent a lifetime trying to find all the ways I can be flexible to adapt to other people. Nursing may not have been the best choice but I liked the science and I felt honored to be able to help those in the most need - aka young and stupid :p. When I have been in a management role, people would often call me "arrogant" because they felt I was over-confidant but to me I was neither confident or not, just logical. I know people like to think the grass is greener but I promise you, you would find a whole new set of problems with some familiar themes.

Yup same. People say often say I'm weird, too harsh, or "yikes you're a little rude" when I'm just being honest and direct. I enjoy my independence so much that I'm seen as a rebel from others.

INTJ female here. I’m a stay at home mom now, but at my last job all the female coworkers on my team hated me. All I did was keep to myself and mind my own business. I logically could not understand why prioritizing my privacy and solitude was an issue. When they spoke to me I was perfectly genuine and pleasant, I just wasn’t going to initiate conversation or start gushing about my life. 95% of people are too emotional for me especially women and if I can’t see logic in it I dismiss it. All of this is done silently of course. No need to divulge my thinking patterns.

It is beacuse you are driven by logic, entellect( by your brain) than emotion. You are not open up about your life beacuse it involve emotion, you are feeling uncomfortable to talk about yourself and initiate a conversation. You prefer deep talk and about something important but not small talk or common conversations You are acting and response by your brain and not your heart. Your brain not let your emotion to come out. In short your mind control your emotion.

As an INTJ, I've observed both men and women gossiping frequently . . .usually extroverted people do this to be the center of attention and it is a precursor to sociopathic behavior. Gossiping is a form of manipulation. They manipulate how others see a person. So, yeah, we don't trust extroverts . . it'll take us time to rule out any sociopathy.

The INTJ woman cartoon is portrayed as geeky with specs and a bit emo, plays into the stereotype that they are not attractive, I am unusual looking but blonde, glamorous and an ex model, and an INTJ.

I laugh because the INTJ cartoon girl actually looks like me for once, and most INTJ women I know... it’s nice to be represented. I’ve done photoshoots and cosplay modeling but I’m not a fan of it; I just like the creative process of making the look, and I only pose for pictures to have a record of it. My default is long dark hair, and sometimes glasses, with a comfy gamer geek style. I think INTJs often wear glasses because we don’t care about being seen as intellectual (we take pride in being smart) and glasses are often more efficient than contacts. I don’t bother with my contacts unless I plan to go somewhere and anticipate I will need to wear sunglasses or a face mask.

To smart people, nerdy is attractive. Also, not everyone likes models or blondes. Blondes are not more or less attractive than brunettes. I just think they were emphasizing that she is different and doesn't care to look exactly like everyone else. I think you have stereotyped people with that comment (accidentally).

Many people have told me that I'm a rude, stuck-up, emotionless snob when in reality, I just need some alone time because too much social interaction drains me out and I need some space to mentally "rejuvenate" (but sadly, many people don't understand that).
@edennis8578

Entroverts are never going to understand that because they operate in the opposite way. They are energized by socializing and drained by alone time. It's not your fault and you can't change it, but you'll get used to being yourself over time. I know it's difficult being misunderstood all the time.

It is perfectly ok to be the way you are. It does not matter the way others perceive you. They just need to accept you the way you are. Like you said understand you. Think in a way knowing yourself and loving yourself. Appreciating who you are. I think it would be worth getting to know and understand you. I would like to get to know an intj woman. Think they be pleasure to know.

I've seen some INTJ women on here say that they're more comfortable having friendships with men than women, but I'd rather find a like-minded female friend than male friends, because friendships with people of the opposite sex seem to end up with one person crushing on the other, and things get complicated.

I tooooooootally relate, I had the same problem when arguing with my professors at school. Again, my female friends only come to me when they need rational advices or solution to their problems but they will NEVER share their feelings about a person or talk about a romantic partner in front of me bcz they always get scared of my honest remarks. Not to forget the part of looking scary to people; no guy ever tried to come at me they feel like I will beat them up while I was only staring into NOTHING, the air actually. Hhhhhhhh nobody understands us but it is really fine, i started years ago to make peace with myself.

I am a female INTJ and have never met anyone else ( male or female) who was INTJ and I live in a so called "smart" nerd city. I think it's a gossipy, overly religious / judgmental city. I assume other INTJ are likely on the spectrum. This makes it difficult to connect and understand if people even like us when they do.
