Well Kyle and Hunter I'm little bit older than you two . In the beginning of B.A.S.S. there was magic . Make no mistake it is not the same now . In those days it was about us . These days it's about corporate America . You weren't around then so you don't know . Even you have changed from your earlier videos . Tight lines and always pulling for T.W. !

I had a fishing guide Bob Troupe hired for a spring outing on the Potomac River May late 80s. It had rained for a week and the river was BROWN and swollen. I expected him to cancel but he was confident. He said the fish have adjusted to the conditions and if I wanted to cancel that was ok but he was going fishing! Im glad I went, He taught me that the fish hold tight to cover and we caught Quality fish all day! Thank you Bob Troupe!

Bass and Mlf are no longer selling a dream. Now it has become a sport that only a wealthy person can pursue. Boat 100k, truck 80k, opens for one year 35k, Federation Anglers now paying for divisionals and nationals, scoping is expensive and boring for the viewer, etc.

River fishing is Amazing! I will also include sloughs. On an unrelated note. Now that 13 Fishing is no longer retailing the Envy 3 nor the Fuse, as your rods need replacing are you considering the Muse? What are your thoughts overall on that change in [Rapala's] business strategy? 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

The title should be, Bassmaster - Fishing without FFS and I know it sounds WILD n CRAZY, but....what if...they didn't use FFS and scopes for the whole tourney. From what I understand, the reason they stopped doing the surprise lake thing was because it got so big that there were fans that wanted to come and they needed to be able to buy plane tickets and hotels and that ahead of time and lack of knowledge ahead of time made some of the later years of it especially kinda difficult to catch fish and good ones and at that if everyone is just catching lil guys that fan base would dry up.....now they have dried up the fans from coming with all the scoping and sonar. I still go back and watch the old 70s, 80s and 90s Bassmaster classic's, they were the best, before the digital takeover and when the people really used to show up and show out for it, back in the days of the GOAT Rick Clunn, Lary Nixon, Hank Parker, even the prodigy who was taken too soon Bryan Kerchal, those guys would wipe the floor of almost anyone now if there was no scopes or sonar, I'd love to see them do some throwback stuff or a Netflix type of thing like F1 racing. If they wanna go digital they should go FULL SEND into it then or get rid of it.

Last thing…. I watched several of those Bassmaster classic archives or whatever they’re called. Where they didn’t know the lake and it just seem like a good fun exciting time for everyone involved. I agree. Bring that back. I think the fans would eat that up. That’s all I got to say.

As to your statement, its just about who buys the best quality boat/electronics it seems anymore. Ive fished with Legends who I was just happy to be in the back of their boat. Been on stage with Ray Scott. (he was bigger then life). Fisherman from that era had more intuition from using their brains as they didnt have the electronics available today. WE were all surprised when we found out were the winning fish where caught. Now, you just look it up on the internet..

It’s fun when you don’t deep dive into the corporate side of the fishing industry. Local tournaments and fruit jar tournaments are fun. It’s always nice to go out on the lake on Saturdays as well. Stay away from the corporate side and problem solved.

I've been around awhile started fishing in 90 and I've been eaten up with it ever since then.. Fishing has saved my life quite literally. I can honestly say if something doesn't change with FFS competitive Bass Fishing is gonna change across the board and not just on your level. What is happening with FFS is only bad for the sport and it is that serious. When anglers with no foundation of skills are beating tour level anglers on a regular basis it's a negative thing. Not to mention what is happening with pressure and bass that otherwise would not be getting caught, period. When you can stare at a screen and watch bass react to everything you throw at them in real time nothing good fir the sport is gonna come from that. Many will disagree because FFS makes fishing exponentially easier for them but it's fact.

I think they should invest more in marketing. For instance a major circuit came to my home lake and unless you were into professional bass fishing you would have never known they were here. Other than the pimp boats driving around. They should pay radio host and TV commercials about it being in town.

The problem with professional bass fishing is it's heading in a direction that isn't relatable to the average fishermen. All these boat walkthroughs of these 300k truck/boat rigs is unobtainable to 90% of fisherman. It's like all the big names in the industry are oblivious to this. (Not saying you are) I just think the average tournament angler or just everyday angler are having trouble finding someone to get behind or see a real chance at doing this because of this.

Count me in! Anything having to do with bass fishing I am watching. That would be super cool if they did another mystery lake and fly all the anglers to destination. I am pretty good with the history of BASS. I am sure it is kinda weird because I can not only remember the pros names but where they are from. I think I would rule on a BASS trivia game!😂I am definitely digging the Cast TV show. It really brings back a lot of great memories.
