What I don't get is why getting large and losing it is an inspiration. But I've had to fight the urge not to eat tons of food every day for my entire life, struggling with my gluttony. And get no praise for staying skinny in the first place.
@ProgressiveOverhaul
3 ай бұрын
Two things here: First, it's an inspiration to people who are large and feel like there's no way out. I felt like there's no way out. I thought this couldn't be done. I thought my life was over. So the fact that I've turned it around, shows other people in similar positions (whether they need to lose 30 lbs or 300 lbs) that it can be done. You have to keep in mind that getting that large in the first place is almost always a mental issue of some sort. Whether that's depression, anxiety, PTSD, whatever it is; it's not easy to get out of because it's a lot more than just "stop eating food" like people think it is. The people that think that way don't understand the struggle; which is why I post because some people want to hear from someone who DOES understand their struggle. Second, you likely WOULD get praise for saying those things on social media posts if you're getting views. It's commendable to stay on top of yourself like that. For whatever it's worth, I'm proud of you.
