As soon as that album came out, Little Wing became one of my all time favorites. It's definitely a must learn song. Very poetic and other worldly, it's like astral projection because you're someplace other than earth. But first...Are you "experienced"? Have you ever been "experienced"? Well I have, and that may be the reason that I feel this way about this song. Purple Haze, all in my brain, maybe things don't seem the same.

Another riff that belongs in the Magical Feelings category. Enjoyed your All Along the Watchtower vid but would have liked the beginning 12 bars. Been Playing it for decades but seldom hit all the notes that he played flawlessly. Thanks Marty, back to the Classics🍀

Kinda crazy that I looked up “what makes little wing special” and Marty, almost knowingly, has already made a video about this precise thing a month ago 🤯 I know, it’s a legendary song so it’s a hot topic, but still. I’m glad something like this exists. Thanks, Marty!

Marty, please keep this series going (hopefully with some dead tunes) it's really helpful . I'm way too lazy to tune my Strat down a half step, it screws up my floating tremolo. I get why you did it to maintain continuity to your Little Wing lesson and the original Hendrix version but remember your audience......old lazy guys who hate getting off the sofa :) glad to see you're still providing quality content. I loved it because of the same reason I love Pearl Jam's Yellow Ledbetter, which always reminded me of a chilled Hendrix style riff, because they both hit me square in the soul and stayed there.

i appreciate very much your lessons on riffs, specially little wings of hendrix. i confess that even i've been warching so many time the same transcribtinon of hendrix solo, even so i can't grasp the logic behind the hendrix style and his tricks to remember easily the solo. he could play solo and melody while playing chord progression. so i think imho he didnt played straight pentatonic,. i've noted that if i do so it sound if i played notes casually. so he choose notes carefully and everyone can hear the melody. now, imho i've noted that the solo notes hendrix play on Em pentatonic change while the chord progression goes on, but he don't play a scale, or only an arpeggio he includes the melody, and that's totally a different thing in my opinion. anyway i always like to watch your instructive and inspiring videos.

Hi there! I made a deal with my neighbor that if I get good between 6 months and a year with a guitar he will by me any guitar I want! I was wondering since I love heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden and Metallica and Eddie Van Halen and more should I get an EVH electric guitar If I succeed in the deal? My friend says I should get that if I like heavy metal. Does anyone have any other ideas with a reason? Thanks!
