Why do you think that music is important to children in their early years?
Let me tell you five ways that music helps your child develop and grow.
Firstly music improves social skills.
By singing and playing instruments together children learn to socialise.
Next music helps to develop language and communication skills.
Using rhyme songs and repetition.
Then we have physical coordination.
Learning to keep a beat lends itself to developing other physical skills.
Exploring sounds and music aids creativity and expression.
And finally the patterns and rhythms experienced in musical activities help your child to develop their mathematical skills.
By singing to your child daily during everyday routines listening to music together and exploring different sounds you will help your child develop and grow.
At BHT we have music specialists who are able to help with your child's musical development.
Call us today to find out more.
