Can i you cover why you can’t have two siphons between two bodies of water to create infinite energy, I know it won’t work but I don’t know why, it might be a stupid question but I feel like you have covered stupider questions.🙏
@tylerschannel
13 күн бұрын
For a siphon to work, its output has to be lower than its input, so you could siphon water from A to B if A is in a higher position, but the siphon won't work from B to A. i already made a video about siphons (why it doesn't work 20) if it doesn't answer your question, consider describing it in more detail or providing a sketch if you could. Thank you.

@@tylerschannel I had this idea for 'infinite energy'; You have two smart metal balls (which can have their magnetism turned on and off), with a strong repulsive force, hanging on strings like a pendulum. You start by dropping both off at a high point point so that they meet in the middle, and when it passes a sensor on both sides, their magnetism is turned on. The result should be (assuming both metal balls have the same repulsion force) so that the metals repel each other back to their starting point as long as their repulsion forces are very strong, and once they pass through said sensor again, their magnetism is turned off. Therefore this should? theoretically create some sort of added energy. I know it's probably impossible but I want to hear your opinion on why this might not work.

@@foolishgold3171 electromagnets need electricity to be able to be magnetic or theyre just iron balls and that kinetic energy generated is probably less than the electricity that goes into it
@radical_rat
13 күн бұрын
@@foolishgold3171 The mechanism should actually work, BUT would not produce a net gain of energy. This is because turning magnets on and off is not free. Electromagnets are how you do that, and as the name implies, it requires electricity to enable the magnets, and this will always cost more energy than the magnetic fields would be able to reproduce with repulsion. It's similar to why a generator can't power itself without fuel. You COULD activate magnets in sequence to drive a rotor (and this is how electric motors work), and you can recover some amount of energy from that system (which is how regenerative braking on electric cars, and the alternator on gas cars work), but never more energy than was put in to induce that motion in the first place.

@@radical_rat I see, but does the electricity depend on the size of the balls? If not then why not just have bigger balls.

so how many hammers and rulers in PRIME CONDITIONS WHERE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT can you balance on one another before it all collapses?
@doughboywhine
13 күн бұрын
it depends on where you balance them. If you place the new ones directly on the ends of the old ones, then its 0 because the new rulers would weigh down, while the end is just barely able to resist the force of gravity

It is literally stable. The top part of hammer is heavy and the center of mass is centered at that, the exact same point where the everything is supported. In other words, try placing a ruler on the edge. And then put some heavy object on the fulcrum, it won't fall.
