Jordan has higher ppg, higher shooting percentage, higher PER, more scoring titles, way more awards. However, they played in a time where people played their assigned positions & that was that, so it’s really an unfair comparison, as their duties & responsibilities were massively different.

The goat debate is ridiculous because it’s a team sport we’re not talking about tennis , or golf, or bowling individual sports which is debatable

Jordan did pass Kareem. As an old man, Jordan took the Wizards from 19 wins to 37 wins. As a rookie, he averaged the same amount of points as Kareem. Jordan led the Bulls in points, rebounds, assists and steals. No other rookie has done that. The suggestion that Kareem was better as a rookie is nonsense. Also, Jordan would have 8 to 11 MVP awards if he didn't retire 2 times in his prime. He would have 8 to 11 rings. When it comes to scoring, Jordan is clearly greater than Kareem. Jordan averaged 6 more points consistently for his career. He would have broken Kareem's scoring record if he didn't retire multiple times. Jordan won 6 championships in 13 seasons for the Bulls. If he didn't retire twice in his prime, he would have gone to the finals at least 10 times, but he would have won more rings than Kareem. Jordan has a better record in the finals than Kareem.

Your nuts kareem was the main guy in the lakers he was the best player on that team and magic played against a no name center and magic was not rookie of the year Larry bird was. Oh and Jordan couldn’t win against the great teams couldn’t beat the Celtics ,pistons, 76ers it wasn’t until all those teams retired that Jordan’s team was even relevant and that’s a fact Jordan couldn’t get it done because he wasn’t team oriented he was about hogging the ball and that’s why he needed a great team to win

No. Just no. Jordan didn’t have a good team around him till his 4th year, when Pip & Grant started to actually mature into good players. Also, the Bulls coaches before Jackson ran the team so that EVERYTHING went through Jordan, and even then, they went to a ECCG with Collins as coach. Jackson came in & changed the offensive concept to get everyone involved, instead of coaching it so it was the Jordan show. At least pretend to know WTF you’re talking about.

@@JohnDoe-zr8pc oh you mean when bird took the Celtics against the 76ers who had 6 hall of famers and won a nba championship in his second year with mchale on the bench and a young Robert parish yeah bulls fans make a lot of excuses for Mj but even bird turned the Celtics around in the greatest turnaround in nba history in h I s rookie year and has the second highest win percentage of all time, so scoring is great but winning is more important and that’s a fact and it’s a fact the Jordan had to have pippen and Phil Jackson and Rodman and Tony and Harper , and all those shooters the blazers had nowhere near that talent the lakers were old with no Kareem and a injured worthy, Utah had Malone and Stockton and that’s pretty much it phoenix had Kevin Johnson and Barkley those aren’t great teams Utah was the only team to make it to the finals twice

Total career points dont mean much other then longevity, which means you played long enough to accumulate lot of points that is all, scoring title on other hand means you are THE best scorer in entire league for that entire season out of all the players. Also for his first championship with Bucks Kareem had fantastic costar in Oscar Robertson another legendary player. And in showtine lakers Kareem was not the main guy there, Magic was, since his rookie year where he replaced Kareem on center position and won the title dropping 42 points winning championship, rookie of the year and mvp. Jordan on other hand had no costar durning the 80s, he was the 1 man team, and as soon as he got Pippen to become an allstar, rest is history, he NEVER lost in the finals. Jordan is greatest player of all time, and there are 4 others who are better as a player then Kareem and have fantastic resumes as well

@@xpact83 Bigger problem is Kareem got into Lakers in 1975, he won his 2nd championship in 1980. when Magic got there, that is why Magic was the main guy, Kareem had 5 year window and could not do it.
