You can turn off the traction control on the KTM. Maybe he still has an old software on which turned on the traction control every time the bike tuned off / stalled. The newer software keeps the setting even after the bike was off and the newest software even has a separate off road riding mode. Next, to get the KTM responding great in the lower rev range is to install a FuelX and put a 14 tooth front sprocket. Plenty of guys riding this bike hard off road 😉

We couldn't turn it off on that one, annoying 😒anyway my point is why bother making an off-road mode with traction control on ??? Off-road mode should be everything off, or keep the front ABS but that's all

@MrTmax74 the problem is the dealership in Indonesia, KTM never had a clear distribution and after sales network, so they sold bikes and nobody can really service them

I agree on the skill issue, but the traction control setting is not about understanding, but more of a software update which was never done, we couldn't turn off the traction control in Off-road mode, in my opinion, this KTM 390 adventure was developed for road use mainly, low ground clearance, low suspension 150mm only, cast wheels, and the Indonesian network for maintenance and service is non-existent, so no software updates nor upgrades make it very difficult to be a good choice for adventure riding in Indonesia

Apart from updating the ECU software you may need to replace the clutch switch which was faulty on intial version of ADV. They have fixed it in 2023 variants, check with your nearest KTM service. You can find videos about this on youtube.

The problem is that there is no KTM service in Bali, the closest is in Jakarta 1200 kms from Bali 🤣 hence the title of the video, not a good choice 😉 🙄

I would love to put my hands on the new Himalayan 450, which can really take a while though as I have no idea when it will be available in Bali, but my little finger is already telling me that the twin cylinder of my Maverick will be better than the single cylinder from the new Himalayan 😉

I wish we could have the DRZ in Indonesia, it was distributed officially in 2008 only and it is almost impossible to find one with full paper
