I think it's just wrong to witch hunt people for mistakes they did when they were kids, especially since school is an environment that even leads well-raised kids to show dark behaviour when the circumstances are given. Teens are always victims of peer-pressure and their own stupidity.

It is. Although bullying is horrible, teens are capable of doing bad stuff in dark environments. Like you said, peer-pressure, being dumb as a teen, etc. I do want to know how the Kim Garam scandal will be resolved and if we'll know the complete, full story.

I am begging you.....BEGGING YOU!!!! Please do a video on New Jeans and that song "Attention." It blew me away. It sounds like 90's NYC hip hop with Kpop vocals.....I love it

I'm loving NewJeans too these days! They have a great vibe and differentiates themselves from Le Sserafim. I will say I do have a lot of videos enqueue right now, but several supporters requested a NewJeans video. So perhaps you'll see a video of NewJeans soon. We'll see :)

Thank you for the perfect overview! I’ve heard some bullying allegations but didn’t follow the debut or bad press. So it was good to view it in one frame now. Even when I’m not happy to admit it but the girls seem indeed very talented (no Hybe fan). I hope they won’t build up a toxic but nice fandom.

For sure, I think a big reason Hybe / Source Music is trying to keep Kim Garam is because she's talented. The bullying allegations are a mess -- as with most allegations -- but right now, the Korean public is against Garam. I think if Garam can keep a clean K-pop life, do community work, apologize for any wrong doings, and be humble, she could turn around. Admittedly, it's tough, since bullying in Korea gives K-pop stars this black mark that's hard to get rid of.

@@Popsori I agree. It seems that news about school bullying become everlasting news coverages. Not only in the entertainment sector but also civil area. In recent years bullying allegations against actors and musicians exploded and tended to end careers. Later half of these were proven wrong but that’s the moment nobody cared anymore. A good example is actor Jisoo that is now in military service. On the other hand - please correct me if I’m wrong - I’m wondering how the whole Garam situation will effect the industry on long-term. In my opinion idols are the part of the industry that isn’t allowed to make mistakes like goddesses. In addition, the society tends to judge female idols harsher then male ones. Therefore, it will be very interesting to see the reaction of fans with her return. If it’s successful this could also show a change of industry (more relaxed and open/ people are annoyed by all the cancellations over the years). Seems to be an exciting ride in front of us!

Thank you so much for the comment. I'm very humbled and honored that you watch my videos. As for your comment, Soulhead is an artist I'd love to do in the future. However, right now, I got so many videos to do enqueue from events and from Patreon member requests that it may be awhile until I get to Soulhead. But with that being said, let's see if I can fulfill your request. Maybe we can do a Soulhead video this year :)

Fascinating and Well detailed video how this unfortunate incident occurred during the debut of Le Sserafim Hopefully the Fans and Media will continue to support their successful journey in the K-pop music industry instead of keep bringing up the scandal that was not their fault

I'd ust like to say that knowing how impactful bullying is in korea, puting all this under the rug is a slap in the face.

It is and I'll follow up bullying in a future video. The point of the video is not to diminish bullying. Rather one group (Le Sserafim) and the rest of the five members shouldn't be defined by the bullying allegations around Kim Garam.

It really is. I still think Le Sserafim can pull through, because there's a ton of talent and their debut is such a banger.

Why are people doing these things, when an idol gets famous, that's when their high school life comes to life they bully a student this and that, bro it's high school we all do stupid things in high school, I don't get it do you want to get an attention or money

Honestly, the way it feels like Gfriend was discarded to make way for Le Sserafim... Something about the group was off from the beginning.

It's really unfortunate what happened to GFriend. Great group. I can't say for sure that GFriend got shafted for Le Sserafim, but at the same time, it's a definite possibility.

No worries at all! Totally get it when one of your favorite groups disbands and you wonder why. I think this all falls on the K-pop labels.

@Wittek you are right, there was something very strange about the way Gfriend disbanded. For HYBE's best performing girl group you would have thought that a goodbye event of some description would have happened. Whilst it's sad, there are two sides to the story. I suspect that the girls can't say anything but that feeling persists....

Spoilers Kim Garam's contract with HYBE/Source was terminated yesterday. Hopefully this will now allow the remaining girls to move on and realise their potential.

Oh yeah, Garam's contract being terminated is the K-pop talk of town right now. I do think the rest of the members will do very well with the scandal now past them and not looming over the group.
