The continuation of a conversation between Lifestyle Health Foundation director, Graham Stephens and Person-Centred Neurosciences Society Director, Neil Bindemann with Darryl Edwards, founder of the Primal Play Method, best-selling author, speaker, physical activity and play researcher.
In this 45 min conversation, Darryl begins by explaining the moment he began thinking "I hate the gym experience...", procrastinating, saying to himself, "I'll do it next week", "I don't feel so great about exercise anymore", "I've achieved everything I ever wanted to.." "why am I no longer enjoying this?".
He then explores with Graham and Neil, how it became a barrier and then what it was that motivated him to change his way of thinking, to ensure he maintained the desire to stay in charge of his health and well being.
Graham also contributes to this fascinating discussion with his significant interest in indigenous philosophies, looking at 'play', explaining it doesn't matter where you are (in historical terms) everything was about play, in growing up, including the 'high risk' play, which Graham illustrates with a few personal experiences, including his time as a rally driver, and connecting that to his amazing work with the Manchester gang scene.
