Chihiro was trying to give you the life you wanted. She was trying to schedule activities for you, make sure you kept up appearances, and tried to give you a life. Not many girls will do that for guys. They usually want a guy to do it for her, or for both of you to be super independent but enjoy each other's company. You gave up something a lot of guys who don't really know what to do with themselves would have liked to have. Without her, you kind of have what you have now, languishing, boredom, and sitting around playing games and feeling sorry for yourself.

Admittedly, I was on team leave her when you were going back and forth all the time with her. But that was only my selfish desire for entertainment because it was fun seeing you meet new girls and have crazy adventures. I do miss it, but if I was your friend, I'd just want you to have something stable that you could find joy in. If you can find that in Thailand with your current girlfriend, great! Hope you can find your niche on KZitem to become popular.

But I always hear from foreigners who live in Japan saying that it is paradise over there. Everything is so convenient especially with all the advanced technology, no crime, friendly people, clean environment, high quality of life, etc.. the only issue is the expensive cost of living.

They're not wrong about those things, but you'll never understand the Japanese and they really don't want to understand you either. I'm not talking about language barrier, but a difference in mentality that will never be bridged. If you want to be a hermit, no problem, otherwise it might be an issue.

It’s impossible. To follow his footsteps I’d need to go home, study A levels for a year or two, enter university and finish a bachelors degree which could take 2-4 years, apply to JET as an English teach hope I get chosen even though googling my name reveals a lot of bad stuff about me then stick it out in a boring job teaching English for 10 years. Danny, if Chris managed to stay there for 10+ years, he most likely obtained permanent resident status. He can stay there indefinitely without worrying about any kind of visa. He can work anywhere or even freelance without being tied to a work permit associated with a business visa. It's almost like being a citizen, minus the passport, the right to vote, and a few other things.

Hey, don't salt the chicken at random indiscriminate portions because you seasoned it too much. Use proper measured portions of salt and other seasonings for your chicken. I used to put random portions of salt on my meat and it ended up tasting too much like ramen because it's too salty and ramen is too salty.

English speaking country with some modern cities, cheap living, easier to get work (For example, commuting to singapore from a neighboring city in malaysia), and I just feel more free in Malaysia. As you consider your fears. Consider not accomplishing anything. There are books and psychological techniques to learn to interact with people. To succeed in life people are your Resource. What's amazing is your ability to talk on camera. there are many people who are afraid to be in front of the camera. What would happen if you treated people like you treated your camera? Their eyes are The lens. They're walking cameras that talk back to you. The first exercise you could do is just to ask. What time is it? Where is the bus stop, where is the train station. How was your day. Meet someone and have a pre scripted story to tell. Make it funny. The more contacts you make the more you will succeed. The world is at your finger tips. There's a lot of power there.

Japan has an old culture originating from Ancient Egypt and the Middle East. Katakana looks like Hebrew. They migrated East a long time ago, maybe 3500 years ago. They're just a little bit different from their Asian neighbors. DNA ties to Ancient Egypt YAP polymorphism. Japan is not what you think it is. Japan became rich and successful while their lost cousins and brothers remain despised in poverty. 'CULT' is in the world culture
