I'm 41 but am planning to retire at 50. Started looking at Mauritius and it looks like a brilliant option

Thanks for this wonderful video! I'm a retired Brit looking to emigrate, and Mauritius is one of a relatively small number of non-European countries where the British state pension is increased annually. Also the weather in Mauritius looks as close to perfect as I can imagine! I'll email you now.

Like Panama or Mexico and Thailand, it really is best if a North American or European can tolerate the high heat and humidity, forcing the need to be confined to air conditioning indoors.

Short flights? 12 hours?! And to the US and Canada?! I doubt most of us retirement age people would want to live that way far from family. Especially if they can have the same advantages (in high heat and humidity) in Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica and..... Mexico!!

Rofle, your channel is such a good resource on Mauritius, I love it. We need a whole video about Mauritius citizenship, why is no body is talking about it almost feels like a taboo. Is it true/realistic to get naturalization with the 500,000 USD after two years?

As a Swiss I just checked the cost of living index: Switzerland 117 ; ) We are officially the most expensive country in the world. Quite a record...but not a fun one. Since the standard of living is slowly getting worse. We have an enormous influx of fake asylum seekers and our economy is buckling under this pressure. My wife and me are moving next year.

@reneluchinger1210 people are allowed to move wherever they want. The same way you and your wife are about to move to a different country to become immigrants is the same way these asylum seekers should have the right to move to a different country in pursuit of happiness, jobs, and wealth for their families. A lot of times when Europeans or Americans move to these islands it raises the costs of living for the locals but the locals never tell y’all to go back to your country. They always welcome y’all. Please let’s learn to be compassionate towards one another.

@@Jmaxx196asylum seekers and retirees or people who just want to relocate are different things. If you retire or move around you must bring money in to the country like steady income and asylum seekers is the opposite- they need support from the country .. sounds tough but is reality of this world 🤷🏻♀️

Just to clarify..people who are 65 generally have health insurance. if you have private health insurance and are 65 or older, you can use the local health system and your insurance will pay for it, correct?
