Completely agree bro, also important to mention how important it is for men to be humble. Martial arts and sparring more experienced people humbles you like nothing else. There's nothing more humiliating than losing a fight. It's definitely empowering to know you can defend yourself against the average guy.

It's really a good feeling to know, that you don't have to be afraid of physical confrontations with other men, since I already done sparring with both taller and more skilled opponents. Sure still anything can happen but I just don't worry that much about the possibility of a physical altercation

absolute fax 💯 ive been doing kickboxing for a little over a year at a gym for it (taking it especially seriously the last few months) and i related to ur story a lot. at school id felt like other boys would just mess with me for no reason at all, and kickboxing has made me feel so much more secure, i still have so much more to learn but i can hit hard and fast enough to were i could hurt someone if i really had to.

I got into boxing later in life in my 20's, but I always had the willingness to scuffle when a young boy, but yes, all men need to train to fight. I think that's a big problem with this society today. People think training to fight is more about violence and really it instills discipline, once I started training to fight in boxing and muy thai, I walked away from fights which is weird because in my preteens and teens i would never walk away and even initiate confrontation. If I ever have sons, it will be a requirement in my house, they dedicate some of their time to either training some things with me or in a gym somewhere by an instructor.

What this guy is telling us is the same thing as Sun Tzu told mankind over two thousand years ago as recorded in THE ART OF WAR: Military action is important to any nation. It is the ground of life and death, the path of survival and destruction, so, it is Imperative to examine it.

The brain dmg i understand 😂 ive been fighting semi pro k1, thai n amateur mma. A concussion has left me with symptoms for the past 8 months. But on the other hand i wouldnt trade the last 13 years of fighting and sparring, they gave me a meaning and something to look forward to. Its worth it, just do it more carefully than i did. No sparring people you dont trust, especially heavyweights. Not too much sparring hard with small gloves. N for the love of god, when u get rocked, take a month off before it accumulates

@@jorgetalks I don’t agree with the word nullify when it comes to street fighting. It’s hard to nullify the randomness of a street fight or untrained fighter. I think preparing yourself is great but walking around thinking you’ve got it over everyone is a great way to get yourself in trouble. Especially when there are equalizer like knifes, guns and gangs. Great video by the way and keep up the training.

Just sayin, lil boxing mitt work isn't proof that you can defend yourself. Street fights are chaotic and involve much more than your ability to throw hands, as an mma practioner myself I would def caution against false confidence cause it can get you lit up pretty bad real fast.
@jorgetalks
23 күн бұрын
1) Confidence is key, as long as it’s backed up 2) Anything can happen in a street fight, but training ups your chances by a lot 3) “False” confidence implies that i don’t believe I can defend myself, and I fully can. Thank you for your comment though
