I was talking to my 14 year old daughter yesterday and she said “ mom you just don’t seem to be happy in real estate anymore “ I told her it’s because I’m not making any money. This video reminded me that it’s also because I get no respect!

You’re allowed to fire clients. Your mental health is paramount and it gives you more time to work with better clients.

Heck to the yes, Brandon!!! Spot on!!! I’m only 8 min in and getting so fired up! 4 years ago we completely shifted our approach and never again will we jump through hoops and let this business kill us. It’s so freeing now! We have total control of our schedules now and actually ENJOY this business because of it. Prospectives schedule appointments with us to set up an initial call to go over their goals. If they can’t do that…first red flag, they are not the type of client we wanna spend the next 90 days with. We’ve learned some seriously good tactics to change the way customers approach us, understand what to expect from us, & now have clear boundaries in place that I believe EVERY agent should have!! From our perspective…the Zillow lead gen method of jumping-through-circus-hoops and running out to show a total stranger who’s not even qualified yet , is dead. And it’s irresponsible! Love the video!! Thank YOU. This industry is changing indeed, and it’s for the GOOD !! Thanks to the settlement, we now can get serious about our specialties, set up some strong boundaries , and LOVE this business again! 😎

Wait til it becomes mandatory that you can’t ever show a home without a pre-approval! And without lockboxes!! (Yes, meaning listings agents will actually have to show up and be present, but yes also buyers will then have to work with that agents schedule. Still no hoop jumping here) I say bring it! Talk about sellers not putting up with crap! They don’t deserve for every Tom, Dick, & Harry to be rummaging through their homes. Both sides of agents need to be more responsible. There’s our two cents for the day. Carry on…😜

This is all 100% true. Early early in my career my coach said have your vm say your work hours and don’t take appointments or calls on off hours… and then a Fsbo client called to hire me during my off hours and was THRILLED that I had that boundary! He point blank told me it made him valuable me more. I very much wish all realtors would start having better boundaries so that pop tart agent was not the expectation. “You teach people how to treat you.” You’re so right, and thank you for the reminder… the answer to ALL of my problems is to make more calls, make more contacts and CREATE my abundance! ❤ I appreciate you so much!

As a new agent that hasn’t gotten any clients (I have been able to advertise as a realtor for 10 days now) I still work at Costco 30 hours a week and i know i wont be 100% available all the time and i wasnt sure how ill be able to balance this. I know that telling clients that i wont be 100% available 24/7 will also clear me of neediness but also build respect! Thank you, i binge watch your videos and i feel my first opportunity coming soon!

I am in process of getting my license but this is SO TRUE not just for realtors, but any business owner. I run a voice over side gig and it is REQUIRED to do this to keep your sanity.

🎯! Just said yesterday that I need to look at the millions instead of investing so much into the few. Literally posted on FB that it's getting old building relationships and business just for people to turn crazy weird on you. I have to remind myself when I get the warm fuzzy feelings that people will do you dirty in a heartbeat. Back to back to back. This profession, volunteerism, and relationships. It's rapid lately, personally. The existing RE market has created a new sense of urgency and for those of us that work ethically hard can easily fall prey to the drop and runs.

Great video! Work within our own boundaries, just like other business owners do. We must set the expectation and stick with it.

Its probably because the client has been burned financially by too many realtors. Either by poor recommendations, laziness, colluding with the opposing side, or lying. Reality is a high percentage of realtors are 💩...

This is completely on point. I learned a cold hard lesson when I worked for this discount big box brokerage. I had to take out unqualified buyers and they had the nerve to demand extra time from me.
