This is why I love your channel and Lissa’s channel. I live a WFPB lifestyle, but refuse to align to one label (e.g. nutritarian, starchivore, fruitarian, etc.) as I’m always adapting my diet based on the best current evidence. I will never put an animal part or byproduct in my body again, but besides that I’m pretty open to going where the research leads us! 💚

Another raw vegan person I follow has some inspiring information, but has many of the red flags mentioned. The one that bothers me the most is how he responds to conflicting comments, which I find surprisingly odd since he talks about this being a spiritual path…yet shows very egotistical behaviour. I appreciate your reminder to not ignore my own intuitive wisdom and to continue expanding with more grounded, real approaches ❤

Love, love this video!!! I have been sucked down many rabbit holes following WFPB for almost 5 years, so I appreciate all your "red flags". I like to also "follow the money". If someone is providing information as a means to only sell their supplements or herbs etc. that is something to be aware of. I like your new approach, as I also love my IP. Blessings to you!!

Another great video John, thank you so much. It is a shame that more people do not recognize the work that you do but for those of us that do recognize you, you do indeed make a valuable contribution into our lives. Thank you! On another point I agree with you that we do need to be aware of people who espouse questionable ideas, however, I am not sure about the example you gave, mucoid plaque. To me it seemed that you were denying the theory of mucoid plaque because medical practitioners denied its existence but then you went on to discribe the existence of exactly what mucoid plaque it. Or did I miss something? This is of course a very minor observation but a clarification would be appreciated. Keep up the good work!

I get these vibes from Shane Sterling from raw vegan rising unfortunately. I want to like and trust in the guy but its pretty tough when he literally says you NEED to do a juice fast, remove mucoid plaque, in order to process raw food and succeed on a raw food diet. Anyone have thoughts on this guy? Raw vegan rising is the channel.

Thanks. Your channel hadn't shown up in awhile and so I searched you out. I need to get inspired by you and change my diet... So looking forward to learning how to eat more fruits and vegetables. I don't take the extreme raw diet as you, but my gut/mind/microbiome tells me that my body would like more. You're the first person coming to mind for inspiration. Have you found books on how to use more plants in season in the diet? I need some creativity help as I increase using them. Yep. I have a garden with various greens. Your gardening channel started me on that journey a decade ago. But. I need to break out of my routines and USE THEM more. Currently, I'm reconsidering what I grow. In the past, things like carrots were cheap to buy; so I didn't grow them. Now I do a small patch. I'm Riverside County, Calif. Currently I have 4 to 6 foot rows of crops in various stages of development. carrots, lettuce, turnip greens, collards, perpetual spinach, green beans (frost just got them), snow peas, brocolli, radish, shallots, beets, sorrel, cilantro, celery, basil, oregano, mint, and rosemary. I need to start Daikon, potatoes, parsley.. I have citrus, peach, and fig trees. I don't succeed with tomatoes here. Everything is small scale, as water is so expensive and I only want to grow what we eat now.... from our desert garden.

Raw is awesome! Especially and smoothies and fruit snacks and salads. But I think our body urine for many other things. Soup is awesome with lots of veggies with rice and beans. Love potatoes and sweet potatoes cooked! Love cooked tofu and potato curry. Couldn't live without those foods. I've always loved your channel for many years, but I have always thought this way and it's amazing you're starting to think like this too.

Those foods are acid and mucus forming. That process clogs up the lymph system and leads to systemic acidosis. I think potatoes, and sweet potatoes especially, are the least harmful of what you stated (besides some veg soups- cooked tomato is somewhat acidic) but still not ideal at all.

1. thinking and feeling ( mental area / spirital abilities ) can and do partly, influence how something is, food, news, etc . what explains why some old people are not sick, who eat cooked meat, drink alcohol, etc . 2. and feeling ( e-nergy-motion, much of, make blood flow fast, means, heal much faster ). 3. i respect science but world have something as creator-effect. 4. spiri-t/d-ual-ity ( better say, spirit-ism, - because life is polar flow, ( in closed-nature-circle-flow ) not dual, even if news and govern-ment try often, to keep divide /dual-ise, life /energy -flow between people ), or creator-magic, could be described as, everything in world, is in-format- "ion ( enregy, also magnet-ism is included )" , so most or all is possible. 5. point 4 for nutrtion, could change view, also about water. 6. think in even bigger picture, - and fog /shadow ends. all the best i wish. :)

Hi John. Great video. I'd like to add a couple more red flags. The first one is when they base their diet on what works for them and has worked for them and they say " look at me how healthy and fit I am ". Second one is when they say " no other species eats cooked food ". No other species sleeps indoors on a bed so should we sleep naked outdoors. No other species eat store bought unripe food so should we stop eating store bought fruit, etc No other species takes supplements so should we stop using supplements. They've taken one statement in isolation " no other species eats cooked food " and ignore all the other differences.

Your argument is ridiculous in my opinion. If we were in our natural habitat (I believe the tropics) cultivating a natural ecosystem of wild foods I don’t believe we would need beds or stores, etc. I certainly don’t think we’d need to cook anything. We take supplements to rebalance after being exposed to the unbalanced man made stuff correct?

I like Dan the Man, because he also talks about the evil agenda that's destroying humanity, that other health teachers seem to want to avoid. John Rose also spoke about this, and I respect both of them for that. What good is being healthy if you're going to be living in total tyranny and under the thumb of tyrants. @@JuiceFastCoach it’s simple. Smart mammals use tools that they weren’t born with. Chimps use tools to open nuts and fish for ants. As the smartest mammal we used many more tools we weren’t born with to acquire nutrition and that how we survived. One of the greatest tools was cooking that makes many hard to digest foods in nature much easier to digest. Without it we would not survive in nature. And then after agriculture the ancient civilisations definitely would not have survived. So it’s perfectly natural for us to cook food it’s one of the things that seperate us from every other animal. You could make the claim that raw diet is healthier though. But you’d need evidence. And the evidence thus far does not point to it being superior for health.
