As a kid I was always in the woods till dark everyday. Kids nowadays can’t leave there tablets or phones behind it’s sad really. Don’t know where it all went wrong!?

Hello Jared. This is an interesting topic... in my opinion the blame always lies with the parents. Technology and the wide spread availability of information (much of it questionable) has added to the current issues we see with kids today. Back in the day if a parent was not involved in a kids life the kid still had to get out of the house for entertainment, ride their bike to a friends house, build forts in the woods, walk to the shopping mall... even if they were up to no good it still required some physical effort. Nowadays a negligent parent leaves the kid alone and that kid sits in their room and essentially gets raised by the internet or games... Enter the functioning zombie. Bottom line - A parent that is actively involved in their kids life, monitoring activities and guiding their decisions will typically grow a well adjusted young adult. Leave them in front of a screen for hours on end and chances are they will be maladjusted. Ok that is my rant for the day. Thanks for your comment Jared, stay well.

You should be thankful because nature is how we live, without it we would be dead. Plus not everything is toxic in nature cures to diseases have been found in nature. Also how would you feel if you were an animal and someone began talking like this to you. Also…so there is no Wi-Fi get over it, there’s a ton of fun things to do in nature. My final thing…just enjoy it, don’t argue, don’t complain and just have fun I don’t know if this is a joke or not so sorry if it is.

The irony is that, although you meant this for humor, you were not inaccurate about the outdoors not being a good environment. However, a couple of corrections - 1) Mother Nature doesn't exist. There is just the outdoors and guess who controls it ultimately? God (No, that's not a joke or meant to be sarcasm, its a fact). God can make those mountains and forest barren and a desert. Moreover, God has no problems in principle with cities or towns, in fact - guess what God admits is coming after He destroys this planet and the present universe. (Yes, He INTENDS and WILL destroy this present earth and universe) He is going to not only make a brand new earth and new heavens but He will have a truly good pure city - a new Jerusalem where He will be enthroned! How awesome is that! 2) People who do not care for the outdoors actually CAN be realistic and have their feet on the ground. 3) It is ironic that you hear more country people COMPLAIN and WHINE about city environments and city people, though city people largely don't care and just carry on and a remnant actually try to encourage making their cities more organic-based and self-sufficient. I support the latter people. I frankly don't care where people live, so long as they don't trash others for choosing not to live the way THEY choose to live. For example, I couldn't honestly care less if you chose to live in an igloo or in a city underground bunker, etc. I care more about trying to treat people with respect, in spite of differences of non-serious irrelevant opinions. Anyway, God bless and may God lead you to the truth.

Thanks for your comment Emily. For the record, Mother Nature is not a Christian concept, I accept this. As a Christian I am not a perfect, I make mistakes... the good news is I try to be cognitive of Gods will, sometimes I fail and I let my will run the show. Regardless of the environment you are in when you have God in your life you are going to be blessed... for me I see more of God's great work in nature than I do downtown Seattle or Detroit. All the best to you.
