Hey guys, so this is a bit of a different vid. I've been feeling pretty burnt out recently and in a weird headspace with the channel, so a last minute trip into the mountains to clear the head was just what I needed. I wanna say a massive thank you to everyone who has tuned in to my channel over the years. Your support is really what keeps me going. And to anyone else who may also be going through a hard time, just know you're not alone. My advice is to get out for some nature therapy. It will do you a world of good. Much love legends. Till next time.

Couldnt agree more. Couple of years ago life was really weighing me down, but i couldnt work out why. Hadnt been into the high country for a while, so took my son on a camping trip. My boys and I watch alot of canadian bushcraft channels but we always love to watch and feel such pride in seeing your videos representing our beautiful Aussie landscape. I know you have done a few videos now where you feature bush tucker plants, I would love to see you delve more into first nations cultural heritage sites (if its appropriate) and even topics like the history of bushrangers, settlers etc, documenting that stuff whilst camping and showing different camping destinations around Australia.. Just an idea for future videos 👍 Keep your chin up Scotty!

Hey Scotty, Think I’ve commented once before but you probably didn’t see it. I was once obsessed with your videos and would sometimes even catch them within minutes of you uploading. I used to have a few drinks alongside your GnT’s and it was a massive escape. I didn’t even have anything to escape from. But that’s what your videos do!! I got busy and would try and watch a vid here and there and I’m not sure what it was, but sometimes I wouldn’t be as glued to the screen as I used to feel. However, It’s currently 2.30am in Cardiff, Wales🏴, I’ve just got home from work and I’ve stayed up an extra 30 mins to watch this and it was awesome. Maybe it’s the rawness and impulsiveness of this video, or maybe I’m just as much a river man as you. This video was awesome. Keep doing what you’re doing. As I have done, people will pick and choose their favourite vids. Not every episode can be a banger. There are many many more gems and places for you to share with all of us to come. And I can’t wait for the next episode. Cheers 🍻

From an Old Goat of 73. I call those times, Reflections. They are the paths we have come from that help us on the way ahead. When feeling down, lift your head and look up. There is only beauty. Remember this in each day: Today is the first day off the rest of your life. Do the best you can in it. If there are problems, "Never say you can't", Say, "I am struggling with." "Went times get tough, the Tough get going." There are those who need to always find fault with others because they want to bring others down to how they feel so they can control. Never except their judgment. Always believe in one's self! Don't give up doing your video's. Not only do many of us enjoy them but, they are the recorded memories of your journey.

Earlier this morning, I saw a Channel 9 post on Facebook about people being encouraged to avoid washing their cars on their driveway and car wash facilities being fined for not following epa rules because of the contamination in our waterways and the damage it does to the ecosystem. In the comments, nearly everyone was dismissing the rules and saying they will now purposely do it on their driveways. It's a sad world we live in when people have become so disconnected to our natural environment. What you do is important, Scott. People need a constant reminder that without a healthy ecosystem, we will cease to exist. I'm sure others will say this as well - never pay attention to the haters. You're doing something fantastic and doing it because it's who you are. If you make money from sponsors, etc., fantastic! We should all be so blessed. Good on you for the hard work. Your product is great and anyone that matters is wishing you all the best.

Gidday Scotty, haters are gonna hate cobber. A trip to the bush is a bit like an early paddle out in the surf. That first wave that washes over you is like a switch that gets rid of all the noise in your mind. Your videos help do the same for those who can't get out there for a number of reasons. Stay the course Scotty you help a lot more folks than you realise. Cheers and thankyou.Deno

Hey Scotty. Please dont take the nay sayers to heart! The vast number of comments from your fans speaks volumes. On a personal note, my heart skipped a beat when I saw your first video with the new Swift canoe. I am a transplanted Canadian that took his Aussie girl friend canoeing to Algonquin Park several times. Swift Canoes is located just outside the park. That Aussie girl brought me to Aus 20 years ago and I am still loving it. I am still back country camping. Your videos inspire my trips regularly. I will take snakes over bears any day! Cheers mate.

People hate because they can’t do that thing themselves simple as that, weather it’s fear finances or whatever’s holding them back they choose too hate rather than appreciate, your videos are amazing and in my opinion the quality has never dropped, also people have no idea how much time and effort goes into the simplest youtube video doing it week in week out takes it’s toll so naturally your going too get fatigued, keep up the great work mate you doing a amazing job.

Keep your head up brother!! Any content is good content. The failed snow trip could’ve been a good short video. We all know not all trips go as planned so failure is nothing to be ashamed of. I think it’s interesting when creators show us their failures. It’s all just a big adventure.

Good to see you back enjoying nature's medicine! There's a quote I love, can't remember who said it, but it's this: "Bad news can travel twice around the world while the good news is still getting it's boots on." We live in a world with a lot of haste, and people making hasty judgements, and I guess that the reason I, you, and anyone else subscribing loves the outdoors is that it imposes a pace and a certain amount of humility. Thanks for taking us to that lovely spot!

Thanks Scotty for another great video. I can't tell you how much I appreciate them - a wonderful escape from the stresses of life. The content is always good and the photography is always top notch. Don't let the buggers get you down when you get a negative post. You are doing great stuff and the world would be a poorer place if you ever stopped. Scotty, your videos have done so much for me mate… while stuck in a brutally cold Northeastern USA winter and dreaming of the Australian Bush. Watching you do what I couldn’t do got me through it all mate. You have a genuine sincerity and an innately gentle spirit mate. Everyone has a sack of rocks that they carry around with them… sometimes there are more rocks than usual - but you’ll adjust to the weight mate and before long the sack will seem lighter. Keeping doing what you do mate… and thank you for sharing it.

Good on you mate. Awesome for you to open up about it all and don’t question the direction of your channel, or your approach, it’s honestly the top of the tree for many of us. Inspiring and motivating more and more people every day. I know what it’s like as a creative, we’re more susceptible to burnout, anxiety and even imposter syndrome. Be kind to yourself, you’re allowed to have down moments. Just ride them with self love knowing it’s only temporary. Trust your passion and skills. Let your community keep lifting you. 🤝

We appreciate you Scott. It's unbelievable people sit behind their keyboard and write negative thoughts. It's a reflection of their lives mate, not yours. When I first started watching you I ran out and brought a new pack and a micro tent and thought it would be awesome to get back out into nature, because as a kid that's how I grew up. But its hard, to find the time, to find the motivation, let alone take a camera with me and shoot footage and traipse around setting it up, just to be able to share an experience. So I appreciate that you do this, like most others here, your videos are an escape. But also an education mate, most people who call themselves Australian wouldn't have set foot anywhere like the places you go. Bugger it i'm bundling up the kids and we are going out this weekend. Thanks mate.

I never comment on here but after watching this I just felt compelled to. Scotty, you're a bloody legend mate! Honestly your video's are so inspiring, light hearted and fun to watch. I often find myself staying up late binge watching one video after another. Not only that, it's made me fall in love with this country all over again. Until I started watching your video's there was nothing really attracting me to exploring the Australian landscape, but now I think why would you want to go anywhere else. There's so much rugged beauty in this country and if you spent your life exploring it, it would be a life well spent. Keep it up mate, you've got 147,000 reasons to keep going. Doing an amazing job mate.

I echo the Paramedic who commented earlier. I work in a hospital in a city setting, but grew up hiking. I love nothing more after a hard day that sitting and watching your videos. They definitely kept me going during all the lock downs, and the crazy hospital times of the Pandemic. Its horrible to hear some people have been very negative....your videos are amazingly soothing and help those of us who can't get out country often still get that country vibe. Thanks for all your sharing.

Only just discovered your channel mate, I'm a scot living in Sydney, which is now home. In Scotland I was outdoors every chance I had, since moving here I've not been able to escape the city anywhere near as much. An overnight trip evey 2 months at best! Your message in this video hit so true to the mark. Good to see you are picking up, I'm working my way through your channel. Nature therapy never fails, to be honest though I've never heard anyone speak so openly on the subject and felt so much understanding in thier words. Its refreshing to know others go through it too. Keep up the great work.......no scrap that. .....just keep your smile on mate and do it for you, if you happen to record it for us too, then thats a bonus! Thanks for the wake up, maybe see you on the trails sometime.

Hey Scotty, I'm one of those viewers that drops in every now and then each year and binges a number of videos at a time. Just wanted to say thankyou for all that you do on these videos, I find immense satisfaction from watching them, it's like a little escape from the day to day. I dream of being able to do what you do, but with a permanent lower back injury I don't think i'll ever get the chance, It's a saddening thought for sure but I'm so grateful to be able to enjoy content like this. Keep going at your pace, I'll always tune in however infrequent it might be. Big love from Adelaide🙌

You could give some people a million dollars and they'd still find something to complain about it. You make these vids because it's what you love doing and you've shown us some absolutely incredible places, most we wouldn't even know exist if it wasn't for your channel. I'm also recovering from a bad eye infection and have barely left the house in two months because any form of bright light is unbearable. Your videos have helped keep me sane since I've been locked up inside and have given me the closest thing to bush therapy that i can get without actually being there 😛 Thanks for taking the time to share your videos and experiences the world! 🙃
