Your videos are awesome, Alice ❤️ Really helping me get back into music production. Just a note from a fellow producer and math geek: A perfect fifth is actually very close to 7.02 (+2 cents!). Can be useful to know if you feel the oscillators are phase drifting. Thanks for awesome content

I loeve these tutorial cause they lead to experimenting with sounds and all, but this recent trend in melodic techno to search for the most complex way of designing a sound is a bit boring and it's disctracting from the main problem of the genre which is repetitivity. All the tracks are the basicslly the same, without visuals they wouldn't have the same impact and people goes to events to make videos about it. It's just hype. Thanks for the time you put on these video and the ammount of free knowledge you provide ❣

Thanks for the tutorial 💗 I would like to mention that the distortion with the 3 layers opens a lot the stereo image. I will experiment with an EQ that boosts on the side high frequencies and remove the high in the center image and also boost a bit medium freqs in the center image.

I have a question when you do the compression/distortion technique around 1030. When you layer sounds like this do you have to worry about phase cancellation within the effect rack itself?

5:09 Do you have some parallel processing making this sound? I can hear some difference from your setup and mine, and I did the same, like,... I can hear some noise going on, and a smooshier sound from yours, and mine is more like a brute sound.
