Simply articulate.... We need more like him on this platform..... People suffer for lack of knowledge out here.

This guy explained what he had to explain in 24 minutes, that doesn’t mean he summarized entrepreneurship in totality.. He gave us nuggets ie look for a niche market, problem solving society issues etc

this guy is very articulate, sadly whatever his opinions are, they will mislead people into the worst they can be. I mean, just because a business isn't making x% a year doesn't mean you close it down! He should say how much the houses in Buruburu cost when they were built and their value now. A house in Kilimani bought in 90's how much would it be worth now? You start a business to fulfil a demand, period. Not to solve problems. Throwing words around to appear smart is what this guy is good at.

There is a Key thing that Ninja has talked about with regards to "The Entrepreneur"..One key reason why most entrepreneurs fail, is they get blinded with the EXCITEMENT once the money starts coming in, Then they go for loans in quest of "expanding and being big"...and they forget the key question, WHAT NEXT?...Coz changes come in quick...competitors increase, alternatives also come in plenty. So the Big question that needs to be answered at all times is, WHAT NEXT FOR ME...even sustainable start ups need to ask themselves that question. What next..coz even some very helpful start ups have encountered massive failures...ever ask yourself why>?..The "What Next question is vital...Dont get kicked out of the capitalism cycle. always be ready for your next move...and youll survive for long...after all, we are all in for survival

General labour is in oversupply but individuals who are endowed with knowledge, skills & entrepreneurial acumen, having mastered their craft, are few.

While I enjoy most of the episodes on this show, I must admit that Dr. King'ori has a habit of labelling charlatans as experts. And this guest is a perfect example. First of all, the reason why there's a high level of unemployment and/or low wages for the employed labour is not only down to an over supply of labour. I will not go into the details of what other factors might be. But as a counter argument, there is a paradox that there are many fields in this country where skilled labour is very limited and wages are relatively higher. Secondly, just because a start up isn't deemed to solve a problem in the society and/or sustainable, does not make it a bad startup. IMO, as long as its operations are not illegal, any profitable startup is a good startup.

Ehh, 6 months down the line, I came across this video and I have to add a small comment on capitalism and corruption. During the Soviet era there were widespread corruption within a non-capitalistic economy and community model.

Do yourself a favor and get a book called 'Basic Economics' or 'Wealth Poverty & Politics' by Thomas Sowell. Thank me later.
