i like boxbox a lot and would usually defend him / agree with him about his complaints, especially when they are just about TFT. but i do know (from what i see as a viewer) that when he is frustrated, he reacts more sensitively to what his chat says to him, and he can come across as condescending when he is telling a chatter they are wrong in that annoyed voice. but based on what this video shows, he really let his emotions get the best of him this time, and i think it clearly clouded his judgement on whether the chatter was really being aggressive. in any other workplace, not being able to control your feelings like this is only going to get you fired. i do feel bad saying that because it’s obvious from some of the talks he has had on stream that he feels burnt out but wants to try not to act upset or complain so much. but to call a chatter an asshole just because they disagreed with you and did not drop it when you said they are wrong??? that is just madness. yes it is chats job to be respectful and follow the chat rules, but not taking your opinion as law doesn’t make them an asshole.

Some backseaters dont realize that TFT is a game of variance. U cant apply all the basic rules in every single game u play, sometimes u have to play different according to your situations. And thats what differs an average player to a top player

funnily enough, he goes 6th avg for most of the time, so you can't really say that he's not doing anything wrong. Not only does he complain about the state of the game a lot no matter the set, he is also passively aggressive and would subtly talk you down. I'm not sure why he's posting this content in youtube when he himself already knows that his toxicity is unbearable to watch, but either it's the editors' choice, or he barely produces games with passable content.

@@scurrx but pointing out that he's being unnecessarily condescending and acting as if he's not an "elitist" when he's doing the opposite with every chance he gets is wrong? He can literally read the most emotionless text ever and claim that he's being attacked by the person who wrote it. Yes, some people can be stupid sometimes, but you can't tell me that he's not doing anything wrong when he himself admits it. And to add on to that, his playstyle doesn't go in line with the comps he likes to force.

For sure! But I think boxbox shouldn't have put this all "backsitting issue" into his YT content. It kinda makes him look like a clown for trying to seriously argue against random people in chat. Idk. I've never watched his live on twitch. Banning a guy for saying something like that? Sheesh 😂

Although true, I actually wouldn't call what happened in the video variance. Stabilizing trumping econ in certain stages is a basic rule in TFT. It's actually one of the most basic rules that many players don't understand. This was just an example of a backseater not understanding the basic rules of TFT.

Personal opinion: If you think the guy was being aggressive in what he said you maybe don't know what aggressive is. Sure he wasnt saying it in the nicest way possible like he claimed to have done but in no way was he being aggressive. Just asking because it seems like you assumed Boxbox is in the wrong and the guy is right. If you flip the perspective for example, Boxbox is right and that guy is wrong, he is an annoying chatter who insisted on the wrong point eventhough Boxbox already explained why that was bad, and the video only show just 2 chat he sent, he probably was backseating the entire time and Boxbox couldn't see it because he was rolling, and I would say that is very aggressive.

@@coleman4178 oh you are misunderstanding me then. Doesn't matter who is right or wrong (if you must know, I would probably agree with BoxBox but I'm no TFT expert). This isn't a matter of the game though. It's a matter of being respectful. Unless there is context we are missing, the chatter had absolutely no disrespect to boxbox. Boxbox can just say "you are wrong, I had to roll to 0 because of x, y, and z" and leave it there. Instead, boxbox does that but then calls him an "asshole" and "incredibly aggressive" and supports his timeout/ban. Deep down I hope we are missing context cause I'd like to root for him but this is just a really bad look.

"Nothing on this item indicates that it scales" *glances at the grey text that reads 'Damage increases based on stage'* It might be missing the 180/240/300/360/420 notation but its definitely not 'nothing' indicating that. Not to say I blame BoxBox for missing that on a new item, lots of things to think about while a game is going on and chat is active

When we are reading a coment online we don't actually know how the people are trying to say the message, like, their intencions, voice tone, etc... But when we can hear BoxBox, we can feel that he was a bit mad. And yeah, he got a bad day like he said before, but that's not an excuse to what he did on the poor viewer. I'm a really big fan of BoxBox (I follow him since he got high elo just playing Riven with a controller), but this time I agree with the chatter. He gets too salty with people just giving their opinion or doing an inoffensive backsitting, if you're going to ignore them there's a lot of ways to react, it's bad to get angry and ban them just for that. It's almost like a dictator behaviour: I don't like your opinion, it can make me look like I'm wrong, so I'm shutting you down. Still a fan but this is really his worst issue.

In all honesty, SAYING THIS AS A THOUGHT, its not so much about admitting you are wrong, because sometimes you can just lock your head and THINK you are 100% right but maybe you are not. Its not that you admit you are wrong or evaluate if you are wrong if someone else tells you you are, you evaluate or admit you are wrong when YOU yourself come to the conclusion, so its not like you really listen to chat to evaluate your decisions, you jaut highlight what they just corroborate about your thoughts. The most obvious way you feel this is when you get coached by someone you think is better than you, there you can really feel the difference when you truly evaluate what other people say.

@Kzaitoo
3 ай бұрын
You still can get offered a champion that you technically had 3 star with. but the way tft champion shop works is the champion u had 3 starred is the rest of the count of that champ is still going or shuffling around all the players shops, thats why many must've thought that u can't get that champ anymore but in the real scenario, you getting that many champs casually reduces the number of that champ going around all the players which you nearly and could never come across at again . For example, you 3 starred an ashe in which case the ashe count is only 10 as well as all the 4 costs. 10-9 is 1, and that 1 ashe is still going around of all the players shop, but the chances of it appearing on anyone's shop (even yours) is very very slim just because it is contending over 200+ champs on that 6 shops slots.
