AJ has held the heavy weight division up for years with these rematches. A rematch should only take place if it’s a tight fight or a dodgy decision. Man got absolutely schooled by Usyk got a rematch. Got obliterated by Andy Ruiz got a rematch. Got destroyed by Triple D and he’s getting another rematch. He doesn’t deserve one.

A challenger, and let’s not forget that’s what he was in the Dubois fight, was comprehensively beaten from pillar to post and yet there are those who are adamant he’s entitled to a rematch 😂 I understand that Hearn needs it because his fighters are falling like dominoes, but idiots like Spencer Oliver etc giving it “he deserves the rematch” Give me the logic?!

No, AJ doesn't deserve an immediate rematch. He was the challenger, and was convincingly beaten. Ali had to wait for 14 fights before rematching frazier, and 15 fights to challenge again (vs foreman). There's a mandatory, its his turn.
@bombercountyblues
15 сағат бұрын
Spot on everything but there being a mandatory.. kabayel and bakole have to fight first to decide that one.
@paulandhisguitars
15 сағат бұрын
@bombercountyblues I'm not sure how it works with the ibf, but in the old days when their was just one title, you could fight anyone in the top 10, provided that every 2nd fight the boxer ranked number 2 got a shot at the title. To me that seems like a fair system. So, if the mandatory is still to be decided, go down the ranks and find someone else. Zang or parker maybe, if they haven't got fights scheduled......but not AJ, he needs to earn the shot again. You don't earn a title shot by losing a title shot.
@bombercountyblues
15 сағат бұрын
@paulandhisguitars after fighting usyk, miller, hirgovic and joshua in the space of a year, I'd say dubois more than earned the right to rest up and wait while kabayel and bakole fight for the spot...
@paulandhisguitars
14 сағат бұрын
@@bombercountyblues yeah, I wasn't suggesting he had to book a fight tomorrow mate. And the point of booking a fight with a top 10 fighter (rather than a mandatory) was to give a champion the opportunity to have a slightly easier fight, a relatively easier payday. Doesnt always work out like that of course.
