I bought my black 2023 DCT Touring model in February, and I love it. I have almost 7,000 miles on it, and it's definitely the most advanced and most comfortable bike I've owned in 41 years of riding.

A magical machine that no bike company can copy till today and its a fact. When you own one, like me, first time winger, you will know what I am saying. Honda built/building a machine that fits many style riders. They are smart, they listen. They could listen even more for next models. They do something right in terms of reliability/bullet proof machine. Its not a joke. Some, in 20 years of owning, or so, never see a dealer. That is something. To see 150-250K on a bike is pretty common in the Wing's club. Honda nailed it and they will continue for many years to come.

Respectfully........The BMW GTL is better. More horsepower, more torque, more luggage capacity, more fuel capacity, better miles per gallon, and better handling. They are about equal in comfort.

I looked up the BMW GTL someone here suggested and I think the 2023 Goldwing DCT(non tour) looks better. I don't like the design of the bmw especially how the saddle bags point downwards. The way I see it is like this, the Wing is made for touring. I'm not going to be racing it, so more horsepower and torque is useless to me since I just want a comfortable long distance ride and maybe next year if I'm lucky I will buy a 2024 Wing DCT .

I traded in a Harley Electra Glide Ultra Limited for my 2019 Goldwing. I miss the growl of the Harley coming out of a turn. I miss the floor boards and being able to stretch out in factory configuration. I miss the “brotherhood” of having the Harley. That being said, I love the smoothness of my goldwing I love the power and speed of the goldwing I love the quietness of the wing I love the confidence in longevity from the wing. The DCT is and has been tough for me to get used to. It does a great job, but after a lifetime of grabbing clutches and shifting, I find myself looking for it often. The 2019 is just an absolute joy to ride and it is amazing how quickly 500 miles will just go by. There is a learning curve to all of the electronics. I am happy with my trade and look forward to many many years of touring the countryside

I kept my old Electra Glide for the reasons you stated but bought my first Wing slightly over two years ago. My Wing is not of the new generation but I love everything about it. When I bought the 08, it only had 23k miles on it. I have 35k now.

Excellent video! Indeed the Goldwing is the best touring motorcycle available. It has the best combination of comfort, speed, reliability and technology. Comparatively speaking, it's less expensive than the high-end HD and far more dependable than a comparable BMW. I've ridden my 2018 through 29 states...and counting. It's an incredible machine!

I commend Honda for their steadfast development of the Gold Wing. For nearly 50 years Honda has both lead & followed market trends with continually improving the design. Which is no small feat seeing how Yamaha, after developing a new Venture platform, has after 4 model years discontinued it. Suzuki bowed out of this market segment a long time ago. Kawasaki continues to soldier on with its old-in-the-tooth budget friendly Voyager. Triumph too went back to the drawing board with their Rocket III. This pares down the competition to BMW, Indian and H-D. All 3 have touring models that are well worth considering. I feel it's also noteworthy to recognize the Can Am Spyder as being a competitor to the Gold Wing. It's already referred as Canada's Gold Wing!

Yes. I am a big fan. I just wish the GoldWing had kept some of its bulk. I personally like a wider bike vs. a sportier looking style. Let's keep the luxurious long-distance traveling look and bulk on the iconic GoldWing.

They are surely great touring motorcycles, but when it comes to reliability they don’t match the quality and endurance of the Honda. When travelling thousands of kilometres, knowing that your machine will not leave you stranded is a huge sigh of relief. Which is why I’m my opinion the Gold Wing is the best touring bike in the world.

It's just a pity a normal working bloke could never afford it. Sorry, but that's the truth. We might be able to buy a used Goldwing. That's not the same as a new one, which is out of our range. You might come back and say stop complaining. The truth is the truth.

I have had 3 of the over rated Goldwing’s: Back in the day a 1981 Interstate, in 2021 purchased a 2021 DCT tour and this year purchased a 2023 DCT tour. None of these bikes are or were great, they are average at best. The luggage is terrible!! DCT shifts when it wants to around turns and who know where and when. When I hear people stating how great the GW is I think it must be the only bike they have ever had. If you like Goldwing’s good for you, for me they are below average, they are best on highway at high speeds, the DCT is very unpredictable especially in first gear starting from a stop.

My Gold wing was a splendid motor cycle. But frankly it was far too heavy for me to handle. Let it slip on a gravel parking space and the weight makes it impossible to stop the slide. New or resprayed panniers will follow at a cost of £1200 for a replacement and a few hundred for a respray The Gold Wing is probably the most comfortable long distance bike ever supplied. The handling is confidence inspiring. The sat nav and hifi are astonishably good. Olympic weight lifters should get their orders in quickly . Lesser mortals should take a very long road test on “city”roads

So I have had a 1100 goldwing a 1200 Gold Wing a 2002 1800 Goldwing which I loved and Now I have a 2023 DCT Goldwing. Is the Goldwing the best motorcycle out there? I really dont know. I love harley Davidson bikes to. I wll say this though as far as reliability and comfort, I still like my wing the best. I think it depends on the type of bike you want to ride and the reason you are riding it. be safe everyone.
