How? Was it Tony Parker sleeping with his team mates wife or was it Tony Parker & Manu saying that Kawhi was faking an injury and got him traded to Toronto where he won a ring the same year? Great culture...

When did Parker and manu say that? Also he wanted out of SA lmao

@@tmstoelicker9919 It was mostly Tony, but they held a players only meeting where they basically pressed Kawhi in the locker room saying they needed him to play because they were going to miss the playoffs which basically suggested they didn't think his injury was real. And that largely has to do with Spurs management spreading rumors that he was okay to play when Kawhi's medical team was saying that he shouldn't play yet.

@@southcentrealthat sounds like a Tony Parker problem to me not a spurs’ culture problem. Spurs encouraged him to be unfaithful? And when he did make comments about Kawhi guess what? He was on the hornets the year after and didn’t retire a spur. Tells you a lot

@@southcentrealso first off you have to focus on one player who yes is a little slimy. He did a shitty thing no one denies that. Danny Green is one of Spurs alums who is totally grateful to the organization. From a 2009 2nd rounder by Cleveland, then cut twice (or thrice) by the Spurs but learned to get over himself, he was eventually entrusted to "corporate knowledge." It remains a mystery why he was traded to Toronto alongside that "traitor known as #2". I thought Danny was cool with that, because it's business and in a way still in touch with the Spurs. May he return to San Antonio on his final year/s.
@butchdavila6735

That would be awesome
@MegaRayland

Not really a mystery: clearly Toronto demanded it in order to absorb “traitor #2” who at that point was a potential liability. Toronto didn’t have a 3-and-D guy and Danny had been very efficient. There was also the issue of salary matching. It wasn’t for any issues with him. The Spurs were just out of options to get something in return for a player that had missed an entire season, was ‘problematic’, and didn’t want to go anywhere but L.A.. Danny was merely, and unfortunately, a sacrifice to avoid losing the other guy for nothing.
