I'm surprised that the critique of StarCraft II's story isn't being discussed as much as SC2's Esports scene, with only the obscure KZitemr uanime1 doing it. Although SC2 terrible in terms of storywriting and being restricted to the heroes perspective, SC1 is no stranger to story issues as well, like the Protoss being oblivious to Kerrigan's manipulation in Brood War, the stupid decision for DuGalle to kill Stukov instead of the real traitor Duran, being restricted to one race for only one chapter of the story that left a few plot holes (like Jim Raynor showing up in UED campaign), and more. For once, we share the same sentiment that SC2's story is just as terrible as Disney's Star Wars. This video deserve more views, Silent Mask.

Words can't describe how happy I am to see this comment. Thank you so much! As for the flaws in SC1 story, I do agree 1 race per chapter is limiting, and now that you mention it I realize more how often history repeats itself because mortal kombat stories suffer from the same problem. I agree with the protoss falling for Kerrigan's manipulation was strange, though to some degree I understand it because of how faithful Zeratul is depicted as, but to be fair to your point he's basically made so because the matriarch is a plot device. I wish Stulov lived and don't like that he and other characters were revived in SC2. I think a couple more episodes would've made that whole thing work because Stukov's death fealty rushed since he and DuGalle were supposedly friends for so long.
