Don't you understand? Ethnic cleansing should not be tolerated. Unless, of course, it is Jews who are ethnically cleansed. And that's what people are saying should be done in Judea and Samaria because, you know JUDaism has no connection to that land, right? What the world is saying is that the "Palestinians" who self-exiled themselves pre-1948 war should be allowed to terrorize Jews and Israel forever until they get back "their" land (that they never owned, for a people that never existed). But imagine if every descendant of a Holocaust survivor went back to Germany and Poland and Hungary and the Czech Republic, etc. and terrorized and brutalized the people there now living on land in the homes stolen from their grandparents and great grandparents. You think the world would say that those Jews have a right of return? Of course not. Triple standard when it comes to Jews. All because the world is jealous that, despite how the world has treated our people for thousands of years, we are still the most successful people on the planet.

@@robydragu6705 You're making things up. Around 1947-48, there were around 900,000 Jews in the Arab middle east. Country 1948 Today Libya 38,000 0 Iraq 150,000 0 Syria 30,000 0 Egypt 75-100,000 under FIVE Yemen 6,300 under 50 Morocco 265,000 under 2000 Iran 100-125,000 8,700 (the most) The notion that nobody expelled Jews is beyond ridiculous. It was the very definition of ethnic cleansing, which apparently is not acceptable to anyone unless those being ethnically cleansed are Jews. And don't think for a second that the Jews in Iran (who will soon die out) are treated as anything other than third class citizens. By contrast, the vast majority of the approximately 700,000 Arabs who left what became Israel did so before the 1948 war at the behest of the Arabs before they attacked Israel, who told them "don't worry, we will destroy them and you will be back there in a few weeks." Or that after the war, Amin Al-husseini was extremely eager to continue his buddy hitler’s scourge against Jews regardless of their affinity for Zionism. I’ll say that again; Palestine was led by a literal nazi from 1948-1953. Reverse the 3 “No’s” of Khartoum and say YES to Peace, Recognition and Negotiations - - in good faith. The Palestinians are one generation away from being the most happy and prosperous Arabs in the Middle East (sans oil). . . . but alas, there are far, far too many who choose to live in resentment, self - pity and the delusion of reversing the irreversible losses of ‘48 and ‘67. It is time for true peace and reconciliation by doing the hard work of building a Palestinian State upon the principles of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights - - that simultaneously upholds the security of the sovereign State of Israel. . . . your true brothers and sisters in humanity. @@projekcja " _Jordan did not steal the West bank from the Palestinians in 1948, it took the West bank from the British_ ". With respect, you are mistaken. The British did not have the West Bank (or any of Palesstine) "taken" from them, they gave it up and put the UN in charge. The UN decided to split the territory between the Jews and the Arabs that we now call Palestinians. The land that Jordan occupied in 1948 was land that the UN had designated for the Arab state. Therefore the Jordanians stole the land that rightfully belonged to the Arab Palestinians. Your detour into what Jordan actually _did_ with the West Bank is not relevant to the point I was making, that the West Bank was not Jordan's to begin with (and of course the same can be said of Egypt and Gaza).

The arabs rejected the partitian plan of the UN and started a war on Israel in 1948. They lost the war and still didn't create a palastinian state. Second, although there are extremists on both sides, there is no denying that the extremists on the Palestinian side have the more extreme goal of literally killing every Jew. How do you get them to coexist? Third, the neighbourhood, i.e., the Middle East, is not conducive to a stable democracy, and typically, democracies thrive when surrounded by other democracies. There have been several instances where proposals for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were not accepted by Palestinian leadership: 1. The British Peel Commission's 1937 partition plan, which suggested creating separate Jewish and Arab states, was not accepted by Palestinian leader Hajj Amin Husseini. 2. In November 1947, the UN proposed a partition plan to establish two states - one Jewish and one Arab. This plan was not accepted by Palestinian leaders. 3. At the Camp David Summit in 2000, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat did not accept the peace proposal presented. 4. In 2008, a comprehensive peace proposal from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was not accepted by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. 5. In recent years, Palestinian leaders expressed opposition to the Trump administration's Middle East peace plan, referred to as the "Deal of the Century," even before its details were fully disclosed. These instances suggest that over the decades, various proposals for a two-state solution have not been embraced by Palestinian leadership.

Negotiations continued after the Oslo Accord. Sharon even shut down settlements in Gaza and withdrew. But Netanyahu and the settler parties went their own direction. And Hamas seized control over Gaza. For the last decade, it's the extremes in both communities that have unfortunately been running the show. One hopes that condition does not last much longer, that both sides tire of bloodshed and get back to the negotiating table.

I would argue that Israel is not subsidizing the settlements. The settlements would not be possible without the funds and military support provided by the United States. Without the monetary support, military assistance, and diplomatic cover provided by the United States, Israel would likely have had to negotiate a 2 state solution decades ago. The situation now mirrors that of the American Indians in the 1800s. Make treaties, drive them unto reservations, break the treaties, make them walk during the winter to another reservation hundreds of miles distant, starve the survivors, try to pacify any resistance to being constantly persecuted........ sound familiar?

When Nazi Germany ended its occupation of Norway in May, 1945, it wasn't called a "two state solution". It was called an end to the occupation. The phrase "two state solution" makes it seem like there are two equal parties fighting over a piece of land they both have the right to, which is incorrect. Israel is a colonial project and according to an ICJ ruling, the occupation of the OPT is illegal under international law.

The palestinans were offered 99% of the west bank and Gaza in 7 different occasions in the last 40 years. They always said no and reacted with violenece and terrorism. They dont want to live along side of Israel, they want Israel destruction. You dont believe me? Then ask a palestinian yourself and you'll see. On the contrary, If you were propose a palestinian state living peacefully along side israel the vast majority would say YES, but they all know such an indipendent state will create a scenario similar to Gaza #2, a state that promotes terrorism and violence less than 5 km from Israel main cities and populated areas. No one wants to test this.

Something no one ever mentions is, when Britain first took over the Mandate, Palestine and Trans-Jordan were together, but soon separated by the British into two areas, the mandate was partially to create a Jewish Homeland in Israel, to fulfill its promises to the Jews, and Trans-Jordan was to fulfill its promises to the Arabs. There you have it a TWO state solution.

I like how the issue of the "Nakba" is always played. Aggressor claiming victim. Palestinians + Arabs started a war and lost. And the resulting displacement (no genocide involved even though Israel had the capacity to commit same) is now being attributed to Israel?? Most of those displaced decided willingly to leave rather than stay and accept Israel citizenship. We are seeing the exact same thing in 2023/2024. Start a violent war, then expect law and diplomacy to prevail. If there must be peace, law must be upheld by ALL parties. If you stand behind ICJ and UN rulings, then you must also abide by International law, not attacking in 1948 and 2023 and taking hostages. Can't eat your cake amd have it. Sow violence reap violence. That's the basic truth.
@@janvanruth3485 Yes. This was a war crime within the civil war that the Arabs started. There were also other massacres before and after this against Jews too. No side is innocent in any war . My point is that the war started following the announcement of the partition by UN in 1947. After this massacre against Palestinians other massacres were perpetrated by Palestinians too. History cannot be isolated. I can send a list of pogroms against Israel in the middle east but that's not my point. My point is that alot has happened historically on both sides and this silly aggressor versus oppressed narrative is not the solution. The way forward is level headed diplomacy and unbiased resolution

Very one-sided story - again. She "forgot" the "right of return" of the Palestinian "refugees" to ISRAEL. That's why the peace process collapsed in 2000 at Camp David. For Arafat there was only an option for a certain two state solution: palestinian state and a temporary jewish state filled later by 5-10 million arab muslim "refugees". Resolution: 1 palestinian arab muslim state. Do you still wonder why the peace process is dead?
