Absolutely yes. They could be President on day one, if something bad happens to the elected President. I supported RFK Jr., until he announced Nicole as his VP pick; and am not alone, far from it. Hopefully, he reconsiders before the window of opportunity closes.

As a lifelong Democrat, I don't know if I will vote for Biden in 2024. The far left of his party has bullied and threatened him too far to the left and his policies don't reflect his personal and professional views (imo); some of his senior advisers are from the Obama cabinet which have made things worse. The two party extreme division started to get out of control in 1994 with Newt Gingrich going after the Clintons and has dramatically escalated. I doubt I'll vote for the open Democrat Senate seat in my state (NJ) for the presumptive Democrat candidate.

@@7135HOLLY lol @ you thinking Biden is some kind of far left candidate. He's as center as they get. I WISH he was more progressive and your statement had some weight. Today's left is 2000s center right.
@@7135HOLLY "I haven't changed, they have" - Bill Maher. Your comment reflects how I and many current or former D's and Ind's feel today. I've always supported core Liberal values; we know what those are... What I'm seeing is a gross distortion; a "reimagining" that has really gone too far to the point of lunacy. The party who claims to defend those values are actually doing the opposite all the while claiming to be the 'saviors' of Democracy. For that I can't support Biden's admin and I'm actually fearful of what might happen if they get another term.

We need Shanahan as VP because she is smart. (consider who our current VP is right?) Shanahan is more than sharp. She's an accomplished lawyer too. She has created tech based companies successfully. But the biggie for me is, like it or not, the rollout of AI is right around the corner. Don't take that lightly. All the experts are warning us that AI WILL change life as we know it on this planet. Forever! Shanahan is all over that and she has access to the genius level people who are building AI. Our government must be prepared to control the use of this new tech and learn how to regulate it. We must understand how to eliminate the chance that AI could be weaponized against us by our enemies. Remember, the smart people who are building AI are themselves telling us we better look out! RFK made a very wise choice.

Chris, I'm at a loss for words. Nikki Haley as VP pic for either party? This statement is so out of touch that it almost makes me question whether you know anything about politics. Nikki, Haley is despised by everyone in the Republican party. The only reason why she got the votes she got in the few primary states that she was in was because of the really small portion of Rino's but more importantly, Democrats that were voting against Trump in open primaries that will vote for Biden in the fall. Nikki, Haley represents where the Republican party was in 1992, not today. Mitt Romney represents the Republican party of 1992 but not today. Trump cannot pick person who is not America first. It's a movement. Chris, that apparently you don't seem to understand.
@AndyRosebrook

Chris said two weeks ago he didn't think Jan 6 was an insurrection. He went on the valuetainment MAGA podcast and nodded along to multiple hoaxes and lies. Chris promoted RFK Jr a few days back, right around the time one kf his campaign chair said defeating Biden was their goal. I notice Chris didn't address this yet.
@Accuratetranslationservices
5 ай бұрын
Here's how Haley did in the *closed* primaries: CT - 14% Maine - 25% NY - 13% Oklahoma - 16% Utah - 42% DC - 63% Between a low of 13% and a high of 63%, it's not a "really small portion." ... Obviously DC is a bit of an anomaly, so the real high is Utah at 42%... Those results are pretty close to what polling data showed among Republicans too for Haley: around 20-30% support. So, Even if your theory about the open primaries is correct ... There are a significant number of Republicans who have issues with Trump. Trump's base tends to think "I like Trump, and my friends like Trump, therefore everyone likes Trump..." but it isn't reality. The GOP has had huge internal problems recently and the Trump faction's inability to see this will lead to more lost elections. The GOP's complete 180 on foreign policy and trade, for example, with the MAGA movement adopting far-left policies on these issues, has alienated many longtime Republicans, especially in the corporate world and military families. The MAGA faction's refusal to compromise on anything (e.g. when Republicans voted *not* to build the wall and to keep the border *open* recently) and otherwise whacky policies that will lead to a nonfunctioning government and a militarily weaker United States has pushed many moderate Republicans away.

I just knew you were going to recommend Liz Cheney for Biden's VP (I was thinking that would actually be quite strategic). But to say Nikki Haley (the woman who said he wouldn't make it through another term) and then Mitt Romney (who was the presidential opponent of Obama, Biden's old boss) was just soooo wild. At the end of the day, this is the most accomplished administration in recent memory and if voters don't understand that come November this country will pay a significant price. Nothing has ever been expected of vice president's. (Just look at Pence during the infamous argument between Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer on the border wall funding. He sat there and didn't say a word the entire time the way he did throughout the entire administration). Now that it's Kamala, who has actually been working, it is of the utmost importance. She is more qualified than just about everyone mentioned in this video other than Biden. He is really the most effective president in the last 50 years by far. I didn't support Biden or Kamala in the primaries but have been thoroughly impressed and grateful of the work they have accomplished together for the betterment of this country. We will not compromise in an effort to gain votes from people who have trouble understanding if retrumplicans or Biden is worse for the country.

CC, you present some really weird ideas in this video. Me, I'm voting Kennedy / Shanahan after voting Trump in the last 2 elections.

Chris- Great podcast as always! I also have a feeling that Trump will pick a woman as his running mate. If I were advising him, I would say that Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds or Rep. Nancy Mace would be good choices. I'd like to see him choose Nikki Haley as his running mate, but don't think it will happen. It would help him tremendously in the general election among women, swing voters, independents, and even centrist/conservative Dems if he were to choose Sens. Lisa Murkowski or Susan Collins, but don't see that happening either. I also agree with you on RFK Jr.'s running mate not providing much to the campaign, besides money; but I'd like to be proven wrong there. When reading about her policy positions, she's very left wing and could help pull liberal Democrats who are concerned with RFK who don't want 4 more years of Biden-Harris over but are afraid of RFK becoming too conservative, over to the Kennedy camp. I also think Biden should dump Kamala since she's been disastrous as VP and provides nothing positive to the campaign, but he would get eviscerated by the far left of he did.

Men are favored for leadership roles and are more competitive. As it stands, Trump will win with a male VP.

Elise Stefanie would be a good choice . She been in congress from N.Y. for about 8 years. ,It's a red state normally but I think it's going to be a battle ground state this year because of the illegal migrants crisis that have push a lot more Black and Hispanic voters toward Trump . Add a well like N.Y. Rep and , that's a women ,makes it even more .doable . What this move also does is forces the the Democrats to pour a ton of money into N.Y. that they wouldn't have had to. This takes money away from other battle ground state because they can't afford to lose N.Y. . So that also helps Trump in other states . I also think that Tulsi Gabbard would be a god choice. She's well liked by Democrats , Republicans and Independent .You don't find that in too many people, She's also helps with the Veterans . For a non women choice I would go with Vivek Ramaswamy .It's not a women but he is a minority and well liked .He would also make it less likely that Trump is Impeached . Just like Kamala Calamity Harris made Biden impeachable but for a different reason.

No way I would vote for a Trump/Haley ticket... next impeachment hearing would get half the warhawk republicans voting to impeach Trump and we would end up with a Neocon as POTUS and Liz Cheney named as VP

They need to end "protecting the incumbent" on both sides. Always thought it was ridiculous to rally behind one person, and tear down anyone who attempts to challenge. Thoughts?
