The current situation is quite unusual. Inflation is causing the value of the US dollar to decrease, yet it's gaining strength when compared to other currencies, as well as assets like gold and real estate. Recession is most likely the result of an external factor. For the first time in decades, the United States is losing its clout as a federal reserve currency. They don't have any more economies to use to control inflation, and less money is being spent on stock and oil trading than in the past. They all lend support to the idea that a new multilateral world order is in the works.

What we're seeing honestly is the REAL reason the U.S. is so obsessed with Ukraine. They figure that if they can somehow take back Crimea, completely block Russia in militarily/ports and collapse them, the dollar and American power hegemony will survive (as they feel that Russia is a critical piece to allowing any alternative to rise). If Russia wins now, and the world grows tired of America's aggressive efforts, it's over. Hence why the U.S. government is so fanatically sacrificing money, equipment and technology, risking brinksmanship in the process. In all likelihood either America or Russia will be destroyed as a power by this proxy war, in terms of influence and economically. And the way it looks at the moment, it will be America since the world is wary of the warmongering.

Why is there a widespread desire to abandon the dollar? It is because when the Federal Reserve creates fiat money, it essentially takes away from the reserves of all countries holding dollars. Inflation not only affects consumers, but also anyone holding dollars. In essence, the dollar has enabled the systematic draining of wealth from nations without their awareness. Emitting fiat money is not necessarily harmful for countries as long as it is proportional to their GDP growth, since this means that they are capturing their own growth. However, the hegemon uses global GDP rather than national GDP for this purpose, which means it is stealing from the growth of other countries. Countries will only move away from the dollar if they are not concerned about facing sanctions or military retaliation. Thus, the anti-dollar trend is a consequence of poor governance and a decline in the hegemon's power.
@rya6701
Жыл бұрын
The argument being made is that the scheme was deemed satisfactory by most nations as long as the hegemon fulfilled its role in providing leadership, promoting order, serving common interests, and demonstrating philanthropy towards the weak. However, it is apparent that these conditions have not been met for quite some time due to poor governance, excessive self-centeredness, and instances of mistreatment.

The U.S.A. as a "Republic" changed when President Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Reserve Act on Dec. 23, 1913, officially establishing the Federal Reserve, which is neither Federal nor has any Reserves (banks owned by families), as the country's central bank. Then, in the 1930s, Executive Order 6102 was issued by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, which forced citizens to sell gold bullion and coins at well below market rates. This confiscation was part of the Gold Reserve Act of 1934 which set a much higher official rate for gold. The country effectively abandoned the gold standard in 1933, and completely severed the link between the dollar and gold in 1971 by President Nixon. The U.S. now has a fiat money system, meaning the dollar’s value is not linked to any specific asset. The creation of the petrodollar system was a brilliant political and economic move in the early 1970’’s, when President Richard M. Nixon convinced Saudi Arabia to purchase Treasury's in dollars in exchange for military aid. Will there be a new global "Reserve Currency"? OR, will there be bilateral trade agreements between Sovereign Nation-States with each currency backed by Gold and/or other commodities? I believe the latter is where we are, at least during the transition period away from the Petrodollar.

You can print as much as you like if it is backed up by Gold or other Commodities . That will hold the value of Ur currencies . But if you dun , no one will accept Ur currency eventually. The USD will be used at the uSA only one day .

Attention!!! Hell is real!!! Where will you go when you die??? If the rapture took place today, would you be left behind??? Jesus loves you and He died for your sins. Anyone who rejects Jesus Christ will not see the Kingdom of Heaven. Humble yourself to REPENT and put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Mark 1:15 For the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe in the gospel...

Reserve currency concept applies to individual human beings also. Some people store their own wealth as money under the mattress, some trust the bank to get some interest, some in stocks so their wealth grows and shrinks with the market, some in real-estate so the wealth is a bit more inflation adjusted, some in gold and so on. Your wealth will grow and shrink based on your choice of your reserve currency, and how you balance it across multiple instruments. Just like gold mining has natural limits, there are reasons why BitCoin cannot be minted (like dollar printing) beyond a maximum limit (21M). It is important to review your wealth buckets and see if any change is needed in your reserve currency to be moved between any buckets.

If they can arrange 5-6 such currency by creating a trade web, it would put a check mate to dollar 💵💰.

Brazil can switch Right to Left, and it doesn’t matter: BRICS rolls ahead in all its manifestations. People emphasize what China wants, but of course, Brazil wants out of using USD, as do many other nations. China will support settlements with the India Rupee. All the BRICS nations have a vision of a multipolar world, as opposed to a vision of a bipolar world where US hegemony faces one competitor. BRICS is a vision of distributed leadership and financing, across many countries.

The U.S. dollar lost its value when price of food and food related items went up 100%. We used to buy Egg for example, for only 79 cents a dozen. Now same Egg is $3.25. Those who still dream for coming to the U.S. I say THINK many time before leaving your country, USA is no longer what it was in 70s / 80s and before.

It is NOT so simple. There are COSTS to internationalizing a currency. Not only it is very expensive administratively, you lose CONTROL of the currency. Speculative attacks on the currency is very real if your economy is NOT strong. Also you need both HARD power & SOFT power to ensure other countries support your international curreny.... and that is NOT cheap!!!

We already know and have witnessed that the USA is declining while China is a rising superpower. It reminded us of the British decline in the 20th Century while the USA was the rising superpower. Soon, US dollars will no longer be a world-dominated currency. It happened to other world-dominated currencies in the past throughout history.

We don't want any of the currencies being mooted to take over the dollar. Instead, a new neutral currency to be used by all countries shud replace the dollar. Not rouble or yuan or Riyadh or rupee. We don't want to be manipulated by any currency.
