As a person who watches China's development, I'm amazed at how different China and the West is in terms of managing society. The West tends to let private sector decide, and its society is "gone with the wind". They go through history typically aimlessly. In China, the government is the leading force. They have plan and long-term vision. No one can predict the future, but by having long-term vision, one can follow through challenging goals. The leadership (in China) can adapt to new circumstances quickly if it is worth it. For example, Fusion tech is far from reality (it may take 40 years more). So China now focuses on Green Energy (Solar, Wind) as well as Thorium-based nuclear power. But if someday someguy figures out how to exactly solve Fusion issue, China can rapidly adapt to the new direction. And in this case, no one in Chinese society would complain (or be allowed to complain) about wasteful resources for Thorium-based ones.

China was banned from ISS and then it made it's own space station. If everyone else is allowed to learn, why can't China? Because China could actually become better? China should continue what it is best at, observing, re-engineering, innovating and competing.

On every video about the Lunar south pole, the comments section gets filled with people incorrectly claiming: 1) India was the first nation to land at the South Pole 2) India was the first nation to discover water on the Moon 1. India did NOT land at the South Pole. Chandrayaan-3 landed at 69 degrees South latitude, which is nowhere near the South Pole. They landed in ... the south. That's it. NOT THE SOUTH POLE. 69 degrees is not 90 degrees. That's like going to Norway and saying you're at the North Pole or going to Florida and saying you're at the Equator. And now, Intuitive Machines has landed at about 80 degrees south, twice as close to the South Pole as Chandrayaan-3. India was not the first nation to land at the South Pole because so far NOBODY has landed at the South Pole. 2. The actual instrument on the 2008 Chandrayaan-1 orbiter that "discovered" water at the south pole - Moon Mineralogy Mapper - was a NASA/JPL instrument. Designed, built, paid for, and operated by USA, not India. India didn't design it, didn't make it, didn't pay for it, didn't commission it, didn't operate it. There were also many other American satellites, missions, and observations from flybys, etc. that found evidence of water, including BEFORE Chandrayaan (such as Clementine way back in the 1990s).
@vidyasagarrvsr3723

Story story story.. if did made the 1969/1972 historical moon walk. Even when technology was backward to now. Ques: Why have we (world) been unable to go back there in the present time. It shouldn't be a huge problem, right?

Money. The USA is now broke, with debt equal to the total yearly output of the entire economy. Worse, it is adding over a trillion dollars to that debt every year. We need to pay interest on ALL that debt, or the global economy will collapse.

We are the world we are the people. No need to leave our beautiful world. The universe is filled with nothing but uninhabitable planets. We just need to work to keep making our world better. I don’t see any benefits in Space travel. Except do sightseeing and military operations.
