Homelander's manipulation tactics are intense. Which moment do you think was his most powerful or disturbing, and why? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Blindspot - easily one of my favourite scenes. Most disturbing is making deep eat his friend Timothy. The fact that Deep knows his name makes it even more disturbing.

The scene with Blindspot is another perfect example of how Homelander uses humiliation as a weapon. When he smacks Blindspot's ears in front of Ashley, it’s not just an act of violence-it’s a calculated move to assert dominance and remind everyone who’s really in control. This moment is especially chilling because it shows how quickly and ruthlessly Homelander can crush someone’s dreams, literally and figuratively. It’s the same twisted power dynamic we see when he forces Deep to eat Timothy. In both cases, it’s not just about physical harm but about breaking people on a psychological level, using their own hopes, fears, and connections against them. There are so many times that Homelander stomps on those around them...both physically and mentally!

Homelander is just as powerful mentally as he is physically.

Hey Josh, Totally agree! Homelander’s brain game is just as intense as his brawn. It makes him super scary! Eagerly await Season 5!

He's mentally powerful in offense but not defense. He has a very fragile ego and is pretty weak mentally due to the way he was brought up

It's frightening how he then publicly mocks, belittles and humiliates the scientists in the lab that 'took care of him' and then removes them entirely. So chilling!

Can you do an analysis of Soldier Boy?

Soldier Boy is a fascinating character to analyze. On the surface, he’s a symbol of American heroism, but beneath that facade, he's deeply flawed, reflecting toxic masculinity and the darker side of patriotism. His struggle with obsolescence and his need to assert dominance are key to understanding his actions. He’s both a relic of the past and a cautionary tale about power and identity. Exploring Soldier Boy's psyche would definitely make for an intriguing deep dive! Thanks for the suggestion. I think you have pushed me gently into thinking of this rather unique characters; Season 5 might just be where Soldier Boy shines!?
