Mikey Designs & Silk Screen Would you be able to tell me what would be an ideal price to charge a client for 100 shirts like this? I always run into trouble with not charging the right prices.

Whats the best way to print one off Vintage rap tees? I want to do DTG but the have gradients so It may show the white base on a Black tee.. Im thinking Plastisol or heat transfers? What do you think?
@mikeydesignssilkscreen473

I'd say plastisol screen printing for vintage tees using a higher mesh so the ink isn't so thick.

Hey, I'm new to printing and came across your channel. I'm still confused about the type of printing your using. It looks like your pritning with silk. From what I can tell. I heard you cant print graphics that are masked in illusator. And looking at that tee shirt, im sure the creator made masked objects to creat it

What I’m really wondering is how you get like the detail on the skin color. Did you have to mix it or is it all one color?
@mikeydesignssilkscreen473
3 жыл бұрын
It's done by overprinting white, yellow, red, and some gray for this particular job.
@adamb744

Im still kindof confused so with using multiple screens are all of them have the same print on the screen or do they have certain pieces for the print to come together as 1 piece im trying to start my own business and have no knowledge atm
@mikeydesignssilkscreen473

You got it. So each screen is print a particular color (ie white, red, blue, yellow, green, etc). The halftones help blend or vary the amount of color going down.

so was that a design the customer brought in to you? Or did you take what they gave you and you actually did all the design?... thats pretty sweet I'm sure that style can sell big time, that old school rap t-shirt never goes out of style... and also, did you use Separation Studio to separate the design after you made it... if you made it...? thx homie, tell you boy Apollo i said hi
@mikeydesignssilkscreen473

This is a customer design, however we've done many designs like this. This style has made a come back for sure. I used our own sep software Action Seps with some tweaking, but this can easily be done by following the tutorials we have up on manually separating simulated / spot process. Just keep an eye on each separation, especially the white top to make sure there's not white where it shouldn't be. You only want the white to either add to the brightness of what should be a bright white or to over lay on colors that should have a pale look to them, like flesh tones, or pastel like colors.
