That is awesome. I contacted you before. I am a 100% disabled veteran. I met a girl I went to school with. She and I are buying a small place, and she is going to help me so I can finally get a few pigs and things like I have wanted to do, and we have been gardening and freezing some squash, zucchini, onions, and peppers. There for a while I was thinking my life of doing things I wanted to do was over, but now I am doing more and more things that i like to do. I just need some help. Just some days I cannot get around very well to compromise myself with animals.

Congratulations you guys! I've been following you since the 'burbs. You were part of the inspiration that led us to move out to the country and start a homestead this year. In two weeks we'll be building a chicken coop loosely based on your design. Life is made up of seasons; God had you in the 'burbs for a season, on the farm for a season, and now on to this new season. Change is exciting when God is involved. Many blessings!

Glad you're staying in Michigan. Sawmills are cool. You're still gonna need a garden tractor-not a lawn tractor. There's a difference. Older name brands like JD, Wheel Horse or even Craftsman are cheap and easy to fix yourself. Good luck at the new place.

I love woods but prefer to not have trees too close to the house. Learned that the hard way at our current house. One time a tree fell just short of the front door. Gutter cleaning is not our favorite activity especially as we age. Gutter guards often cause more problems because some of them do not let enough water through and it just spills over. If the house isn’t too tall though should be able to clean them. Our new house will be a ranch with woods but none near the house.

I own other properties. 1 I may end up foreclosing/ revoking lease on. The guy is behind on the payment. 11a that could easily turned back into a farm.
