As I reflected on 2023, I struggled to process smaller meaningful moments of the year, and realized it’s because I was so booked up in 2023 I didn’t get to process what I was doing. Weekends were filling up months in advance, and I spent time during activities thinking about what I’m doing next weekend or prepping for the next activity instead of being present. I made it a goal to commit less in 2024, so I had time to be present in my commitments. This video has really affirmed my revelations and train of thought, and I thank you so much for it

Breath work and meditation tend to help me the most when it comes to simplifying my head space! I can't remember exactly when I started getting into meditation as I've been doing that for years, but it was only a day ago when I recognized that there's more to the concept of breathing and how this can be utilized to reduce "mental clutter". I would highly recommend doing either one or both of these things to help practice mindfulness, or even for more intense or complex mental or emotional issues 😊

Hi Ron Thank you, thank you ,thank you for this video. This is one of the things I am working on this year. Mindfulness, being present, intentional living and slowing down. I am so grateful for the content you create. Always looking forward to your next video. Have a great weekend.

Man, i just realized this now. One positive is at least i get to plan ahead while doing something which is multi-tasking. However, i think i should be more mindful of what im doing at present

Variety is the spice of life and can either distract you or deepen your attention to bring you to present. There is no equation for either or. I noticed this varies with age. 20's becomes a distraction. 30's sways back and forth. 40's will draw your attention. Obviously this can vary but that's what I have noticed. I love having subtraction and am practicing this without having watched this video before. Growing by subtracting? Oh yes! Slowing down is great. The fox may be quick but if it quits the race then the accomplishment is no longer their's. 🙂

Good morning Ronald 🌻 Clutter thinking, sums it all up for me! Now, to put all you said into practice. It’s a slow process for me, given all the distractions in my home life. I am learning to put the things I need to do for my mind to bring calmness into my daily life. Definitely not perfect but working on it! Thank you for your great words of wisdom 💐

I love soaking in your wisdom! I really think a background in SEL (social emotional learning) would really enhance your craft! As a behavior specialist it has positively restructured the way I approach, all interactions!

Your content always makes me smile, because it always makes me think about something. Thank you for that. This time, I'm thinking about the problem of thinking too much about things....if that makes any sense. And I'm reminded of a saying I heard from a national level athletic team - that you can't not do something. Or in other words, it's impossible to not think about something, or even not do some bad habit that has found it's way into your flow. Instead, focus on the thing to do. Easier said than done. Thanks again, and keep posting these notes.

Well the first thing a person can do to be present is put down their phones. Kids and adults alike.

Woah! How did youtube only just suggest this video to me. Thank you for the insights. Yes, I agree that being present ironically opens space to think ahead

Ronald, you are a breath of fresh air in a world of super fast talking, jump cutting, hyperstimulated KZitemrs (myself included), and content all over the internet that essentially are quick hits of dopamine. I think you may be one of the ones on this platform that could really impart lasting change for people. Thank you so much for all you do, and please keep doing it! ✌️
