IMPORTANT NOTE: This is all from the perspective of someone with a United States passport, which is a very privileged position to be in. The experience of traveling like this can vary greatly based on how you look or where you have citizenship.

Well here is the thing…. Let say you are flying to Mexico from the US and have a damaged passport and the airline let you fly on that passport. Well Mexico doesn’t play around with damaged passports and will send your aśś back to where you came from AND fine the airline to the tune of around $10,000. You are not worth that to the airline. Customs MIGHT not do anything but the airlines don’t want to take that chance and get fined.

Sean, your videos are quite informative and very interesting. I subscribe to several "slow traveler" channels and I find your videos more focused on the video's subject matter than many other channels can be. I'm glad the KZitem algorithm genie suggested one of your videos. I've since joined your subscriber list and hope your subscriber count grows rapidly. Keep those travel vids coming, you're doing a great job!

Thank you so much for the comment! A lot of KZitem comments tend to be very negative (especially on the more watched videos), so it’s heartwarming to read such a positive comment like this.

I’ve never had an issue with this as a US passport holder.

It feels like I am listening to one whole continuous cohesive mesmerizing presentation but noticing how the background location keeps changing, I am wondering how do you pick back up your train of thoughts or script after walking a long distance from one place to another.

It’s all scripted. I’m just reading off my phone and memorizing 2-3 sentences at a time.

I've ran into that recently. We came to Canada after a ton of travel and just needed to regroup before our next plans. We said our length of stay would be 90 days. They asked us what we we're going to do in Montreal and we were like, we don't know, just here to enjoy the summer weather, and sent us for more questioning. The next time coming to Canada we had details ready to share. We were still tired so my wife and I stumbled over saying our recent travel till the guy was like, it's fine, I get it.

Oof, sounds like you had it a lot worse than we’ve ever had it. I’m sure we’ll get questioned someday. So far, buying and then canceling a flight has always been enough to get us off the hook. Enjoy Montreal if you’re still there! That’s actually where we started our full-time travel journey. It’s such an amazing city in the summer.
