For me...I tend to get lost binge watching a t.v. series on netflix or what have you. God showed me one day, i was using t.v. as a means for shelter from the storms in life, which, served to draw me away from Him. Powerful lesson I learned that day. God is my shelter. Psalms 91!

powerful for sure. I was just convincted with how much my life reflects that "God isn't enough for me". Trying to be totally content in him.

@@JonJorgensonVideos As my dad always says, 'If it were easy anyone could do it.' My two cents...I wonder how Joshua felt having to roam the wilderness for 40yrs when he was ready to go into the promised land, during his quiet times, was his mind filled with battle to come? I believe it was. You know, God speaks to us all the time. That 30 mins keeps us ever open to the remaining 23.30 hrs when He does speak. In my humble opinion.

Even though I cant feel God, I can see him in my life and others. It is the little winks that make me know God is there. For example, Ill be driving and thinking about God when I notice a Jesus sign. I think it is super cool that those little winks happen and show us why they happen.

Thank you so much for your videos..., they always inspire me and push me towards God. Related to the topic of this video, I happen to have a different experience...: every time I've been living in sin (I mean serious sin, the type of sin that leaves your soul destroyed and completely numb), God has come to me and brought me back again - sometimes even against my will. It has been in those times of sin when I've felt him closer to me than ever. I guess he loves me too much to leave me alone when I need him the most...

Your video caused me to reflect and realize something. I set aside time every night to pray, to give thanks to God, to praise Him, glorify Him, and sometimes just ramble about what's on my mind but I haven't been setting aside time to read my Bible as I should. Instead I get lost in working in my writing or go down the rabbit hole that is KZitem. I need to stop that and return to His word. I have plenty of time for all the rest, but none of that compares to the importance of spending time in the Word. That changes now. I can't say that I've felt removed from His presence, I can feel the Holy Spirit move in me, I know He is there. I just need to make more of an effort.

LSGCNITEMAIR I need to sat aside time to pray like that in the evening. That's awesome! And yes nothing else matters but having a relationship with Jesus and reading His word! Jesus + nothing = everything!

THIS is that THING that we do to ourselves. When we put gaps between our relationship with God. He is allways present. It is me who tends to wander off ... "Off" being the opritive word. When I'm off , I get lost and feel frightened .

For me, l guess it's unfaithfulness! Letting myself float in God's presence is something that l'm still working on because l tend to wanting to control my life including my relationship with God and the truth is, it's overwhelming and l keep falling and making it bad!

I have made myself feel far from God due to my sinful natures and I have created an image of myself of where I must be as this sinless person and I forgot who and why Jesus died for me. I then caused toxicity and anxiety in my life to myself and almost my friends and directly to my beloved girlfriend whom we are having Christ as cent in our relationship with God and I felt as though I have failed as the man in the relationship; how I couldn't be this unconditional loving partner to her. I then realized all I had to do was fall back on our Father's feet again and confess and lift all my worries and sins to him. Through this process of deep repenting prayer and giving a few nights to God after work; I have been feeling uplifted and especially with those who God has placed in my life to help me through my journey's. God is surely living in people and yet he also understands that people are also only people who can break. I have just gone through a serious season of brokenness because I lost sight of God and became out of practice. This caused me to hurt my loved ones and hurt me even deeper. I pray that you all who read this will pluck and dig out the weeds in your hearts before your roots grower deeper. Please for the sake of your soul.

Hey Jon, usually I am one of the silent followers but I just have to say this. Thank you so much! I discovered you maybe a year ago and you really strengthens my relationship to God. I always recomment your channel to other people in school or so. Currently my relationship to God isn't very good because I don't put effort in it. It feels like God is so far away. I hope I can change that soon. Your videos really help me finding my way back to God. Thank you! ~Greetings from Germany~

Question how far will God go to get us back to Him? After messing up I don’t feel like I use to. Does He put us in time out? How long does it take Him to restore us? How can one tell God isn’t mad with them?

Hey. It has been almost a year that im in this " dry season" where I just DONT FEEL GOD. and I npticed a habit of mine is I like to isolate myself, being an introvert. It's like I got a taste of loneliness and I just love it now. But idk why there's something in my spirit that tells me something's wrong with it. Anyone? Help.
